"While ACHS has a very supportive and encouraging staff, I would not recommend this school to anyone trying to work, raise a family and study. There is an enormous amount of reading assigned, with no support or reinforcement of the content through lectures or discussion. Some weeks there are 5-6 chapters assigned and assignments due while other weeks there is one chapter assigned over a two week time period- again no consistency to help plan around real life. The discussions are all graded which takes away from the true nature of discussion and focuses the student on spending time basically writing short essays instead of engaging in meaningful dialogue. Obviously online learning is best for those who have focus and discipline (and plenty of free time) but there are successful ways to engage students that are more effective at long-term retention than pre-made quizzes, rote memorization and zero effort by the instructor to actively teach."

"American College of Healthcare Sciences (ACHS) has a great team - from admissions, to the bookstore, to the instructors, and including the President of the College. Online learning is not for everyone - it takes someone with a lot of self-discipline to do what is required and learn from it. Instructors were always responsive to questions and needs and help guide students. They offer multiple degree programs (certificates, associates, bachelors, and graduate) in multiple modalities (herbal, aromatherapy, holistic nutrition, etc). Instructors were very knowledgeable in their fields and anytime you have a question, someone is always there to assist. I have an allopathic background and I love that my education through ACHS was evidence-based. Highly recommend ACHS for anyone wanting to further their knowledge in holistic and CAM modalities."
