"I am in the Music Therapy program. One downside to my program is that it is a 3 1/2-4 year program. Appalachian State University is in a beautiful part of North Carolina. It is just a few minutes from the Appalachian Mountains and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Unfortunately, it is a few hours away from the airport and shopping centers. Appalachian State University is for those that like the outdoors."

"The program is challenging but stimulating. I feel that I am learning a lot in my field of nutrition. The faculty are knowledgeable and helpful. However, the program is expensive especially for student who is solely responsible for the cost of her education. This is why I need a scholarship."

"The best thing about the program is the support from Faculty and staff and a great sense of community in the Counseling program. I also feel prepared to enter the profession from my education here. The cons are that the town is small and there is not a lot of diversity."
