"I attained a degree in Industrial Design. I put my best effort in but I do not feel like I received a good education. I think I got a far better education from my community college with a lame Liberal Arts Degree, but at least they taught me something. I am not saying all the teachers at Auburn are bad, but I recommend not going for an Industrial design degree. It’s a 100% all on you, and they do not meet you half way. They get paid good money to teach and 80% of INDD teachers do not teach any valuable information. I feel like I wasted the rest of my MGI Bill on this school. I even forked up my own money after the MGI was tapped out and almost went broke. I worked one crumby Industrial Design job at a bunk playground company that didn't pay good, and I eventually quit. Then I applied for other INDD jobs and went to a couple interviews but the pay was bad PLUS no stipend. I applied for a very interesting power equipment company that loved my power tool studio portfolio, but they wanted to start me out as an intern, even though I had prior job experience. I cannot survive a 17 dollar an hour internship with no benefits and a 50/50 chance of getting hired. I turned it down as well. I After that I just ended up working bunk architectural drafting jobs; The one I work now pays quite a bit more than the INDD job and only requires 2D CAD experience or a 2 year tech degree. I should have just got a certification in CAD then. I suggest not giving up anything you have or your house to move to Auburn and attend school. My life has been a spiral downhill since I graduated. Go get a certificate or good paying associates degree. Chances are a 4 year University is going to rip you off. Three words say it all for this college; "WASTE OF TIME". Heed my warning."

"Do not, I repeat DO NOT use your GI Bill for flight training here if you're a veteran. Myself and several others had a horrendous flight training experience here utilizing the Post 911 GI Bill. It's good training, but the astronomical costs will use up your GI Bill quickly, and you'll likely have to take out loan amounts that you wouldn't have to for the same training elsewhere. There are hundreds of flight students here training at the same time, stretching instructor schedules thin and only offering 3 day per week blocks at best. The school prides themselves on having a large aircraft fleet with advanced cockpits, and they do, but it does nothing to help cut down on delays. You'll likely wait 3+ weeks for stage checks and remedial training lasting in excess of a month should you incomplete a stage, and the syllabus is very lengthy. VA officials that certify classes are oftentimes rude and show no willingness to help or answer important financial questions. Try Liberty or elsewhere."

"Auburn is a wonderful university! Even attending many years ago, I feel my time there prepared me for my chosen career path. It afforded me the opportunities to learn from some of the greatest instructors in the state. The courses and the practices in the school of education helped prepare me with the most current and effective skills and strategies I needed to be successful in my first teaching job. I was offered many hands-on opportunities as a student as I studied to be an educator. The classes required in this field were so beneficial and practical-- I used so many of the strategies learned at this time early in my teaching career. The professors I worked with were very helpful and gave great advice in helping me to think through some of the lessons I was preparing to teach in a practice setting. They were kind and encouraging and were available to help in anyway needed. They provided resources to their students so that I could find materials and ideas I could use in lesson plans I created as a practice for future teaching opportunities. When applying for my first job, they were willing to provide recommendations through the application process and they would follow up with me until I found my first job. I would highly recommend Auburn University to any student looking to attend a warm and friendly environment. As a graduate of this university, I find that I am very proud to have earned a degree from this great institute."

"Auburn is the perfect college to attend. There is no better feeling on campus and community that I have encountered surrounding a school. They make a point about the Auburn family, and it is absolutely true. The engineering and the business schools are certainly the strengths of the school. Along with some smaller more specialized majors. If you are thinking about going pre-med there is a great advisor committee in biology. The other specialties are less impressive for advising. The departments advising can be extremely negative, something to look out for. Research opportunities are abundant. Teachers will do an amazing job for preparing you for later courses in grad school, or for the real world, even if it doesn't seem like it at the time. They also all had very open office hours and were more than willing to help you be successful. A wonderful school to attend!"

"Pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture at Auburn University was one of the best decisions I have ever made, and completing it, my greatest accomplishment. The coursework is demanding, and the hours are long, but the opportunities are worth it. The faculty are committed to the education of their students and work to create a creative, collaborative environment within the students. While I chose to pursue graduate studies in another career field, I do not regret the years I spent in architecture school. It was the best/hardest thing I've ever done, and it got me to where and who I am now."

"Auburn University's Samuel Ginn College of Engineering provided significant networking opportunities in addition to quality education. Perhaps the most valuable asset that an Auburn engineering student may use is the periodic career fairs and industry visits. Here, students are plugged into eager employers. Auburn Engineering graduates fare well in careers and often secure high starting salaries due to the proven reputation of the college. Furthermore, numerous opportunities within the College exist for students to expand educational goals. Seven minors exist, and each major has numerous concentrations that students pursue. Auburn Engineering boasts an affordable price, yet an excellent education."

"I love Auburn University. I feel it was a great mix of strong academics, friendly environment and fun atmosphere. I has a very strong school spirit, especially when it comes to college football. The town of Auburn feels both small and big at the same time. It is comforting and easy to learn yet offers lots of options for food and shopping. Auburn University has about 25% of its student body participate in greek life. Its a great way to make friends and have a four year support system. You can also do that via athletics or academic clubs."

"Auburn University provided me with a well rounded college experience, both academically and personally. My courses were rigorous but the professors were always willing to help you succeed. Auburn is a large school so sometimes you will find yourself in large classes where the professor may not know you, but if you introduce yourself and visit their office hours, I have found they are always helpful. Auburn provides over 300 campus organizations that you can join, and I firmly believe that my involvement on campus was just as important in shaping me into an adult as was my time spent in the classroom."

"I attended Auburn University for my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. The psychology program at Auburn University really prepared me to continue my degree in the field of School Psychology. Auburn University is a very large public institution, but the Psychology professors really made it more personable, which in return allowed me to voice my concerns and future goals with them during multiple occasions. The professors at Auburn University did a great job in keeping their student's needs first and foremost. They really wanted to see all of us strive and succeed in our future endeavors. The psychology program opened up opportunities to students that would really help us to better understand the psychological processes that people experience every day. The professors were clear and understanding in their teaching methods, but they also made the courses interesting and it made me excited to go to class. I have student loans that are piled up because I was an out-of-state student, and although I have student debt, Auburn University was the perfect fit for my undergraduate career and I would highly recommend their psychology program to anyone interested."

"The professors I experienced while I was at Auburn were all seemingly ready to retire. I never had anyone who wanted to offer new insight into the field of education. As a matter of fact, I had one professor who repeatedly stated that there was nothing new under the sun. The last practicum professor I had hated me and the other young lady who came to her from a practicum professor that left the program and left us with her. She repeatedly told us how we didn't know anything. I finally landed with a job in a MAJOR metropolitan school district outside of Atlanta and learned all the things I should have learned at Auburn, but didn't. I would NOT recommend a degree from Auburn in Education."

"I start Auburn University's Graduate Certificate Program in Brewing Science & Operations in the fall of 2017. I am very excited about the opportunities that might open up after I graduate. Auburn is the only Masters level program that I could find offering a certificate or degree in Brewing Science. This is important, because a Masters level certificate/degree can be required for certain college faculty positions - I hope to be able to teach in the field, perhaps for a college or university with an on-site brewery or brewpub. I also hope to expand somewhere down the line into operating my own distillery or brewstillery after getting some experience in that area."

"The school is wonderful. The program is great. However, when I earned my Master of Education Rehabilitation Counseling, the coursework had very little to with what I actually do in my job as a state Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. However, I have found this to be the case from all schools as I work in another state. The program was changed after I graduated."

"I left Auburn University with mixed feelings. On the social side, it was filet mignon. On the academic side, rump roast! Socially, I met my wife and some of the best friends I'll ever have. I also was able to celebrate a BCS nationally championship in football, which is the most unbelievable experience a college student could ask for in my opinion. Academically, my degree holds little weight in corporate America. Most recruiters I interview with have never heard of Auburn and that automatically dumbs down my degree a bit. I constantly have to legitimize my academic background when it comes to a formal interview process. That said, would I change my college experience if I could do it over again? Absolutely not. War Eagle!"

"The Harrison School of Pharmacy (HSOP) is a wonderful school. I went here for both my undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences and my doctoral degree in pharmacy. The staff at HSOP is beyond caring and supportive. Whenever you have any sort of issue, they are always available for a friendly chat or a serious life discussion. This program is not easy by any means, but if you study the material presented in class, you will be fine. I spent about 10-25 hours studying a week, depending on what test was coming up. The second year is the hardest, then third, then fourth, then first year. I recently received notice that they are completely redoing the current curriculum starting in 2018. The curriculum is going to be more of case based learning in the first and second year of school. This is going to be a huge change for anyone who is thinking of going. The curriculum will be modeled after UNC college of pharmacy from what I hear."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Auburn. I feel that my degree was earned through hard work and dedication. This school does not just hand out degrees. You must be willing to put time and effort into your classes. In the end, it was so worth it as I am well prepared to enter graduate school, and a future career."
