"Azusa Pacific University excels in many areas. These areas include but are not limited to the following: teacher/student ratio, faith-based education, tremendous faculty support, location of campus to supermarkets, restaurants, public transportation, etc. The university offers a variety of graduate programs (both on-campus and on-line) for almost all majors A few of the drawbacks include the lack of financial aid that is offered for graduate students, and the high cost of on-campus housing."

"Azusa Pacific University is the only school that I wanted to attend for grad school. I actually found out about the school my sophomore year in college at Florida State University. APU was the only graduate school I applied for because of their Youth Ministry program. They proved to show as the best one in the U.S. The pros of the program are that the faculty is extremely friendly, and the program is precise. I've emailed the school of theology for 5 months, and the dean has communicated with me speedily. All my questions have been answered and with love. The dean actually called me up to congratulate me for being accepted into the program. I felt so special and I am confident that they really take good care of their students. My degree offers courses not only teaching the basic fundamentals of youth ministry, but courses about understanding Greek and Hebrew. These languages are the earliest languages of the Bible. My degree also requires that the students go out and work for the community/church. It's just an overall great hands-on program that really pushes students to succeed out in the real world. Classes start September 3rd this fall. I really need any financial aid to assist me because APU is on the opposite coast of where I live. It is my dream school. I hope that I can attend the school. The con of the program would be the price. I'm just a small town girl, and though my desire has always been to attend this school and now it's my reality since I've gotten accepted; I'm looking for ways to afford the program. It's 477 dollars per unit. At FSU, my courses were less than that, and were 3 units each. No one on both sides of my family has ever received a bachelor’s degree or master's degree. "I feel that I am going to be preapared to be a professional in Special Education when I complete my masters program because we discuss case studies on multiple areas in the special education field. I do research both in field experience, online, and in books that are pertinient to working with special education, and not just meaningless text work. The professors do not accept anything less that true knowledge that exhibits our understanding of what is expected for each final grade, and adding to our professional portfolio. I do feel, however, that the workload does make it hard to have any time to myself and my children since I am a working single mother-but I really love this school.Read Less"

"The Special Ed. and Educational Tech. M.Ed. program involves many projects and practices that I can use in my classroom. It is a new program so it still is being adjusted from time to time, but overall I am very pleased."
