"Program provides allot of support emotionally or academically. Administrators and almost all the teachers are readily available. The program is designed to be like the first year of med school so I definitely feel I have an advantage when I start med school in the fall. Even during my interview process it came up and it was in my advantage the design of the program to be like the first year of med school . Definitely had an impact on me being accepted."

"I decided to pursue the Masters degree in Biomedical Sciences at Barry University after my family member completed the program and successfully matriculated into Medical School. "I found out about the program through one of my patients who said the program helped him get into medical school. I quickly looked into the Barry BMS program and quickly knew that this program was exactly what I was looking for. From the first time I toured the Hollywood campus I felt like the dean and P. were there to support their students academic success. My first semester I was challenged in new ways and learned better ways to study for rigorous material. When time came to took the DAT I was definitely well prepared and I thank the BMS program for that! These classes prepare you for the future courses youll have in medical and dental school and I truly felt I had both professors and mentors. Everyone at Barry is there to help you do well. This fall I was accepted into multiple dental schools December first and I believe the BMS degree helped make me more prepared for my future! Id recommend this program to anyone who wants to feel better prepared going into professional school or to boost their application."

"I attended Barrys Biomedical Masters program hoping to build a better science foundation in order to improve my MCAT score and ultimately become a more competitive applicant for professional school. Upon completion, I achieved both goals and much more. At my undergraduate school, lecture classes were relatively large and it was hard to get one-on-one time with professors. I was compensated for this at Barry, where faculty know each student by name and are willing to go the extra mile to ensure students understand the material being taught. Moreover, I was able to gain leadership experience through organizations such as BMS Society and becoming student ambassador. I was recently accepted into medical school and I owe a great deal to Barry's masters program; from the professors all the way down to the staff. I am confident going into my first year of medical school knowing I am prepared to face the challenges ahead."

"The BMS program at Barry University is phenomenal and I would highly recommend it. Although the program is rigorous and requires dedication, it has prepared me extremely well for either job in the Biomedical Science field or for medical school. It also prepares students well for dental school, PA school or any other professional school. The professors are extremely knowledgeable and are always willing to answer questions that you may have. The administrative staff is also wonderful and Im happy that I had the opportunity to associate with them."

"Deciding to attend the BMS program at Barry University was the best decision I ever made. Here, I was exposed to many classes that are similar to my first year of dental school. I not only have strengthened my study skills but I have personally matured and grew through this program. The Hollywood, FL building may not have all the bells and whistles but it most certainly has everything you will need to become successful! "Barry University is liberal arts college located in the greater Miami area. They offer a variety of majors in the arts, as well as, biological and health sciences. I found the instructors in the biomedical sciences program excellent. They were invested in my education and did a great deal to help me and my fellow students succeed. The program was very rigorous. I was satisfied with my education there. I did find the administrative end of the university to be frustrating, but I experience these same hassles at other institutions. The registrar, financial aid, and admissions office will give you a run-around and you might need to call a few times to get in contact with somebody that actually can help. The main campus is located in a poorer area of Miami. The location does not feel that safe, but campus provides security and secure access. I would just recommend living a little away from the area if you live off campus."
