  • Degree: Social Work
"Pros: The School of Social Work is small, making it easy to approach and build rapport with the faculty. The courses were rigorous, and made me feel prepared for the licensing exam post graduation. The School of Social Work also is very connected with the Waco Texas community. It was easy to get an internship. Cons: The School of Social Work was not connected with the rest of campus. Wish the school was in a bigger metropolitan city."

"The pros for my graduate program would definitely include how small the seminary actually is. It allows you to really get to know your professors on a one-on-one bases. Also the seminar style of teaching they provide here. Again, it allows great discussion and true connection with fellow students as well as professors. Another pro would have to be the passion our professors, as well as our dean, have for their students succeeding, not just during their time at seminary but afterwards as well. As far as cons, I do not have many. One might be the lack of social involvement among students. I would like to see more fun activities for students as we are trying to grow and bond with one another."

  • Degree: Forensic Science
"Forensic science is a very unique degree program that tends to peak employer interest. Baylor University has really developed into a high profile school and as a result, my degree has become even more valuable. I was accepted into medical school but decided after two years that is was not for me at that time. I am now a teacher and have transitioned into teaching high school and college science quite well. I have a master's degree in medical sciences and feel that I was accepted into my master's program, in part, because of the Baylor name on my transcript. The only issue I have with Baylor is that they do not do a good job providing students with financial aid, which is a shame. I left Baylor with much more student loan debt than my little sister who just graduated from Notre Dame. That school does a much better job providing students with scholarships for academic merit. I did receive quite a few scholarships but many were from sources outside the school. The few scholarships the school did provide broke down into very little money per semster. If you go to Baylor, you have to be prepared to either come out of pocket or fill out scholarship applications to many outside sources."

"Baylor University's EMBA program in Dallas offers students an incredible opportunity to be part of the Baylor tradition without the commute to Waco! The classes are held over the course of 5 semesters at the Cooper Wellness Center Campus in Dallas and all learning materials for the program are provided as needed for each student. There are two trips taken during the course of the program: one trip to Washington DC during Spring semester of first year and a 10 day international trip during Spring of final semester. Picking an EMBA program can be a serious challenge for any prospective student...Baylor EMBA program directors make themselves, alumni, and current students available to answer your tough questions and help you make a decision that is right for you, your family, and your career."

"I really enjoy the experience I am getting from attending Baylor. The quality of the education is worth the investment. The staff is always available and more than willing to help students. The largest con about attending Baylor is the cost of attendance. However, Baylor does a great job of offering students scholarships."

"Some Pros of our graduate program is the amount of students in the program is not very big. The professors do everything in their power to help you with school work, job applications, and just life in general. Some cons about the program is that the campus location is in a poor neighborhood so there are many homeless people around campus."

"Baylor's Higher Education program is both challenging and rewarding. One of the greatest benefits is that the university offers tuition remission for students in this program. In addition, students are automatically guaranteed an on-campus apprenticeship upon admission. Not only do you get a quality education and applicable work experience, but you also get paid to go to school!"
