"College is an incredible experience. You will make amazing friends, and it will be the time of your life. There's so much free time that you can easily have a work/life balance. Keep in mind the cost of college though. Be prepared to pay a significant amount of your money towards loans once you graduate. It's definitely worth it, to me, but you should know of all the plus and minus that go into it"

"The program for MAT in Teaching English to Students of Other Languages at Bridgewater State University has given me the opportunity to follow my passion. Since immigrating to the United States from Peru, where I worked as a Spanish teacher, I have lived in three states and I have been searching for the right school where I know that I matter. Upon moving to the Boston area, while I was doing my research on the right school, someone pointed me to Bridgewater State University because of its array of well-developed programs, the university is welcoming to other cultures and is proud of its diversity as an institution. I attended one of the universitys information session and when I voiced my confusion between programs they have available, personnel at the Graduate Department went out of their way to find the right person to answer my questions and guide me based on needs and hopes. I felt confident in the decisions I made afterwards; with their guidance, I prepared myself for the Massachusetts Test for Educator Licensure and submitted the requirements for the program and I was delighted when after many years of searching I was on the right path. Today, when I sit in class and listen to the professor and interact with my classmates, I know I am in the right program, place and that my dream of becoming a teacher in the United States is more attainable than ever."

"Brdigewater State University is a close knit community and a great educational experience. After attending a large school for my undergraduate degree, it was nice to move to a smaller, more intimate location for pursuing my graduate degree. The professors are great!"

"Great learning environment, passionate faculty member support student to achieve their goals. The class is based on hands-on experience. One of the benefit our program is having clinical rotation with professional and Division 1 college football teams."

"I am currently still attending Bridgewater State University. Bridgewater State has made it really easy for me to adjust to college. The professors are extremely helpful and truly care about your success in school. Most professors there have the highest degree possible in their field and I have had nothing but strong relationships with my professors. The community is very welcoming and there are so many career opportunities presented to students! The university really does care about the success of their students and they will do anything possible to assist them in reaching their career goals."

"The MSW program lacked creativity and I wish it had more freedom to pick courses"

"I loved BSU! It's a beautiful campus, where you get from it, what you put into it. The professors are great, and easy to get in touch with, when you have questions on a project or assignment."

"Wonderful time enjoying learning, trying new things and meeting new people. Really loved involving myself into the dance programs my school had to offer. Life long friends have come from school as well as many life experiences."

"More affordable state school. Keeps growing in size. Just became a university in 2010 and offers more options."

"Bridgewater State University was a large school with classes that felt like I was at a smaller school. I liked having the options and opportunities that came with a large school, all while connecting with friends, fellow students, and professors like I was at a smaller campus."

"I entered a special education program that is great because I can still work in my field as I go to school and continue learning. The grad program is a great way to connect to other professionals in my area with similar goals."

"I think Bridgewater State has a seriously quality program for both Undergrad and Graduate studies. As a BSU student in both programs, I've found the faculty to be more than helpful, and I have learned so much at the school."

"I think that the teachers I have had are very passionate about bettering students lives and expanding their knowledge and ability to learn. However, I do not think that the school supports this with the lack of technology that is available to students and the overall condition of the school. The buildings are old and always cold in the winter and always sweltering in the summer. If the facilities and technology were more up to date I think students would be able to learn even more from the great teachers that are there."

"There is really no time for a social life, but it is worth it - once you graduate with your degree. I was not offered any financial aid."

"Pros: Professors are great (most). Day and night classes offered. Graduate Assistantships available. Cons: Not always treated as graduate students."
