"I graduated from BYU in Provo with a degree in Korean and attended from 2014–2019. My experience was overwhelmingly positive, and I would absolutely choose BYU again. One of BYU's greatest strengths is the value. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, my tuition was heavily subsidized, making the cost of attendance remarkably affordable. Even if that were not the case, full tuition is still very affordable comparatively. What impressed me most was that the quality of education far exceeded the price. The professors in my program were excellent, and I found that to be true across many departments. Faculty members were knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in student success.Campus life was another highlight. There was always something happening—clubs, sporting events, service opportunities, performances, and other activities. The campus culture was very positive, and I found students to be friendly and welcoming. I also loved the location. Utah offers incredible outdoor recreation, and there were endless opportunities to hike, ski, camp, and explore. The biggest drawback is that BYU may not be the most comfortable environment for students who are not members of the Church. In my experience, most people genuinely try to be welcoming and inclusive, but the university's culture and policies are deeply tied to its religious mission, which may not be a good fit for everyone. I also had some frustrating experiences with student housing, particularly with Aspen Ridge Management, which managed some BYU-contracted housing during my time there. My advice to prospective students is to be active and involved. Don't just go to class and study. Join clubs, attend events, serve, make friends, and try new things. BYU has so much to offer, and you'll get the most out of the experience if you throw yourself into it and find the communities where you belong."

"I have really enjoyed my time at BYU. I have been able to interact and work with many great professors who have influenced my education and future career ideas. My professors have pushed me and supported me throughout my time at BYU and I have always felt that I could talk to them about any education or career related questions I had. BYU has given me many opportunities to do study abroad programs and join the Honors Program. I have attended conferences and met people from across the world because of these experiences. I have also had great employment opportunities on campus that have influenced my future education and career."

"BYU is a great school. However, I ended up doing a coding boot camp to get me skills that would help me in my career. It was a fantastic decision."

"My school is competitive and a high quality school. However, the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed. People enjoy being there, and there are many great professors."
