"Please, please don't,t waste your time and money! 9 months of kindergarten- can't describe it with over words. And it is very hard to find a decent job that will pay you more than minimum wage. But they are really good at telling you "stories" how will this course will improve your career."

"Had a great time at this school teachers and all staff were extremely helpful when I had concerns about homework or didn't understand subject completely. Classes held on campus which made learning more individualized when needed. All staff willing to help you out. Teachers actually cared about the students success and ensured students would pass class by offering tutoring before or after class if needed. You could also email instructor anytime and within 24 hours receive a reply."

"My extern experience was cringe worthy. The doctor in charge told me the following analogy. "Think of a baseball game. You know what a bat is, and what a ball is, but you do not know how to play the game." I was thrown into a job externship where the woman to train me was already on maternity leave. I had no idea how to start on my own using their computer program. The doctor was rude, I wanted to leave. Kaplan never returned my call when I asked to be placed elsewhere. The end result was my extern position was as a collector for unpaid bills. Calling the same people over and over again each day. I graduated with a certificate as a medical office specialist. I looked for a year trying to get State certification elsewhere. The end result is I am working at an elderly care facility as a housekeeper. I have another 6 1/2 years of paying down this debt."

"I graduated at Kaplan College North Hollywood. It was a 2.5 year program till you get your Radiologic Technologist Degree. All through those years it was a nightmare for me as a student. First year was a Medical Assistant/ Xray Tech program. I attended a 3.5 months externship. At exactly 3rd month externship, school found out that the externship site that I was currently working, their xray machine was not registered to the state. And told me my xrays may not count. Their solution: They sent me to a different site and start all over again !!! Second year was a Radiologic Technologist program. I attended a total of 8 months of externship- 6 months in a hospital and 2 months in an imaging center. At my 6th month, they sent me to an imaging center where i will drive over 56 miles one way, total of 112 miles a day. As a student, I work for free and gas was hella expensive. No way i can afford it. School told me to talk to financial aid and talk to them about LOANING FOR GAS MONEY?!?! I CANT AFFORD HAVING ANOTHER LOAN FOR THIS NONSENSE !! Solution: I ended up borrowing money from my parents and sold my valuable things. I really hate this school. I was depressed and cried often. As a member of their alpha beta kapa society honors, I was not proud. I would not recommend this school!"

Degree: Licensed Vocational Nurse
Graduation Year: 2011
"The evening vocational nursing program that I attended was overall, a good experience. Most of the instructors were outstanding with a couple not meeting student expectations. The enrollment counselors are friendly and good at what they do. Financial aid might be good for some. The financial aid rep. That I had, was unprofessional, lacked follow up and follow through. The job placement dept. seems to be a waste of Kaplan's budget. I personally received one call from this dept. and have yet to work with my current license. Focusing strictly on the nursing dept. I would say that I did get a quality education with an incredible amount of support from nursing staff. If you can get past the early steps of enrollment, I would highly recommend Kaplan's nursing program."

"I attended Kaplan College when it was Texas Careers, and I muat say it was the greatest experience of my life. They had resources such as babysitters, we experienced hurricane Rita and Ike, they made all kind of arraangements for the ones that lost things. I also like that fact that the had monthly award ceremonies, that allowed us to feel successful. It was very rewarding to me. i have two children and it helped to instill in me and my children that education is important. I started working right out of school i did my clinicals and they hired me. You just have to want it!"

"Went to the Vista campus, worst mistake of my life! The most pathetic school i have ever had the most unfortunate task of dealing with even after graduating from there. From the program directors to the financial aid/career helper dept they are rude, unconcerned with your education/career efforts and absolutely the most unorganized, unprofessional, lazy, incompetent bunch i have ever witnessed. Save your money , time and sanity by staying far from this cursed school!!!"
