"I think the best part about my program is that it is the quarter system and can be finished in one year. The school is very affordable and the classes are small enough to get personal attention. The thing that I do not like about my program is that I can not choose to take more classes online."

"Hated it there. Commuter campus. Bakersfield sucks. Teachers were good and classes were decent. Bad area. Political science students not engaging."

"Pros-The professors are accessible and encourage students to succeed. Their support in ongoing student research projects is invaluable. The cohorts are small which leads to tight knit groups of students. It's located rights off the bike path and many students, faculty, and staff, including me, bike to school. Cons-The program is a hybrid with Fresno State. All application materials must be sent there, where they are entered into the system. A spreadsheet is then sent to the coordinator of the program at the Bakersfield campus. Being 2015, There should be another method of housing the information between the 2 campuses. My cohort was supposed to be the first stand alone cohort on the Bakersfield campus but due to budgeting issues the program remains a hybrid."

"I love the education this program has to offer as well as the amazing people that I have come to know through classes. The faculty and peers are very supportive! You will have people cheering for you during your time in this program. The coursework is difficult, but don't worry because everyone else will feel as stressed out as you. I feel that this program will definitely prepare me to become an amazing Marriage and Family Therapist."

"pros: small class sizes, professors all have PhD's, easy to network cons: expect hundreds of hours of field work, though to do when we already have a full time job."

"This program is excellent for those working a full-time job in the day and need to attend school during any available time. Because it is all online, this makes it much easier for those who have families and jobs to tend to. The teachers are excellent and know what they are talking about when they are teaching the material. A con would be for the the fact that is this program is only offered online. Some students may do better being in an actual classroom and may not be too technology savvy. I hope the school does have the program to be on campus as well as online."

"Pros: It is less expensive than other schools. The campus is small and there aren't many distractions. The faculty and staff are very supportive and can be contacted easily. Cons: Some of the instructors should not be college professors. There are very limited networking opportunities."

"PROS: I work full-time so I am fortunate to have found a school that offer courses online. The courses are quite challenging especially if one puts effort. You get what hard work you put into it. Instructors are always available. CONS: Lack of class offerings each quarter. I missed one quarter because there was no class available for me to take (one that is required). I wish there was a way to make class scheduling efficient."

"Quality classes with teachers that were in or had been administrators in the past. They knew what information was needed to get and hold the admin positions."

"Faculty and staff are really friendly and willing to help. Experienced students in the educational field bring up good discussion in classes. Sometimes the class material is not as relevant to the class objectives as much as they should. Assignments are sometimes too vague and have little guidelines. Overall a good program, be willing to make a time commitment with this program because the readings can be long."

"They are continuous improvers. Great school andI'm very excited about getting more involved. Pros - faculty involvement. MBA program is very interested in bettering the students and working with them. Look above and beyond in getting students involved. Cons - class schedule changing. The class schedule changes so its a but hard to plan ahead. But they work with you anyway."

"The graduate program at CSUB is AACSB accredited which is awesome and important. It is easy to communicate with faculty and staff and the program seems well thought out and possibly easier since the classes are quarterly based instead of semesters. If you follow the program closely you can be done in a year and a half!"

"Its a great school as far as the friendliness and small class sizes are concerned. The professors are always there to help in times of need and give advice. The cons include the vastly hot weather, the poor ranking of the program on U.S. news report and therefore lesser recognition when applying for a job to local agencies and organizations."

"My graduate program has offered me many insightful courses that have provided me with opportunities to grow as an individual. I have become even more multicultural sensitive and am more capable of discerning when a situation is being mishandled. The program has also provided me with a close-knit cohort; the individuals in my program are all striving to better students' lives in one way or another and it clearly shows through their passion and commitment. Unfortunately, I would have to say that the workload is less than I had expected, the use of technology is virtually nonexistent, and the overall competitiveness is pretty low. Through both my efforts and those of my professors, though, I have learned quite a bit about working with students in a university/college setting."
