"If you want to study with well-educated, intelligent, and passionate professors for a cheap(er than most university) tuition? Then a Master's program at CSULB is the way to go. As someone who wants to pursue a Ph.D program in the future, I am blessed to be in the Masters of Psychological Research program at CSULB. It gave me the opportunity to really think about my career path and my interests. In addition to the great graduate program, the campus is very nice and technologically advanced. It even has a bowling ally and billiards on campus! How cool is that?"

"Graduate program in CSULB is giving me a lot of opportunities to refine my interest and broaden my views. Seminar course are especially entertaining as fellow graduate students discuss the academic papers assigned each week. While the workload is not little, it is bearable. In addition, the professors are knowledgeable and they guide you and your interest very well. Coming into the program, I was not sure where I am headed as I was conflicted with numerous undefined interest. With the guide of my mentor and supportive professors, I am slowly understanding what to expect from my future. And that is a great meeting, knowing what my future might hold and being satisfied with where my life is headed."

"Overall the program is great. Prospective students should be prepared to lead their own education because students are expected to find their own solutions to problems and network independently."

"The Research Psychology program at California State University, Long Beach is a great program and very effective. The program emphasises use of statistics, which I needed help with, and research methods. They have recently restructured the program to help students become more familiar with the methods process and work on their thesis at the same time, which would have been helpful while I was going through it. The downside is that the surrounding area is expensive (though it is an awesome place to live) and they did not have SPSS available to download onto student computers. Other than that, the program was great and the faculty are very approachable."

"This program allowed for the students to really talk about the upcoming theories in Psychology instead of just being lectured at in a classroom setting. It was a free environment to voice your opinions and not get immediately shot down by professors and other students."
