"The graduate program is very affordable. The staff are great and ready to direct you in the right direction when you need anything. The staff is very friendly and suave with everyone. The best way to get by in this school, however, is if you really try to cut back on many things you wish to do outside of school. If you really depend on financial aid to get to your bank account quickly to pay for books and other expenses through e-refund, then it is best to quit waiting because their fast electronic service is not as fast as it is made to sound like. It is extremely slow. If you wish to manage your own amount of aid you must forget that because they'll do the money management for you. Financial Aid here is painful and restrictive. There are many services to pay in the school, even if you never use them. I wish I had the opportunity to decide where my financial aid pays every semesters."

"The graduate program at CSULB is designed for working students and all of its classes are in the afternoon/evening. This is extremely helpful to me who works full-time. Professors are accessible, hands-on and have years of valuable experience in public administration. The students in the program are diversed and informative."

"I absolutely loved the city of Long Beach. The faculty in my department were great, though I graduated and realized I hadn't taken all opportunities to grow critical skills that would have been beneficial in the aerospace industry. Would have liked to see more available computers and printers and scanners around the campus."

"Going to school for social work, CSULB is a great option because of it's affordability as a public California State University. The surrounding area greatly compliments the field of social work; long beach being one of most diverse cities in the U.S. The biggest con is that CSULB is largely a commuter school. Though, I personally love the commuter aspect side of the university as many of my peers are working and employed in nearby cities such as Los Angeles or throughout Orange County."

"CSULB is a great school with one of the biggest library of 6 floors. I fits my needs and my schedule. The workload can be a bit huge, but it is a great opportunity to learn how to prioritize and build a good personal schedule. In regards to money, I really encourage to build a budget and abstain from anything that is truly not necessary. Spend time and money wisely."
