"My master’s program in Nursing at Cal State LA was rigorous and practical. The faculty were supportive and connected coursework to real clinical work. The campus environment helped me grow professionally. I would recommend the program to future nursing students."

"Pros: CSULA is a nationally known and well-acclaimed school in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Their graduate nursing program is one of the top programs in the United States and is well-respected among the healthcare community. The program is quite competitive to get into, and gives me the confidence that I am receiving the best education with only the brightest colleagues. The faculty are extremely supportive and always pushing students to only grow professionally and personally. The graduate program offers both full and part-time pathways to accommodate your working schedule as well. I want my future NP career to be able to provide for the underserved community, and CSULA allows me to do so. Cons: I would say is clinical placement. Initially, it would be the students responsibility to find preceptors for clinical rotations; and this would be difficult especially for students, like myself, who do not know many NPs who work out in the community. However, recently, our school has hired a clinical placement coordinator who has made students' lives easier by helping find placement. Also, the location of CSULA is not in the safest part of LA. However, campus security does provide assistance to your car if one should feel unsafe."

"Attending Cal State Los Angeles would have to be my bestest choice yet. The pros of going to this college is the easiness of getting there. Especially since it's close to my house. The faculty and even the students who have been there a longer time than I have are kind and thoughtful enough to answer any questions I have for them. There are also day cares close by where I know my baby daughter will be safe while her mom's in class. I would have to truly say i can't find any cons in this school."

"Good instructors but VERY poor administrative support. Overall programs expectations for leaving the program much higher than course expectations so many students do not pass their final program exams."
