"Pros: I was able to transition from a credential student to a masters student without having to reapply, take the GRE, or pay any extra fees. The classes have been small size and the professor has shown great interest in all students. Cons: Limited classes, limited faculty, and dept. chair has limited scheduling."

"My Teaching Credentialing program is one of the best in the state. It's competitive, its Nationally board certified, and graduates from the program are eagerly sought out and employed by local school administrators. It is a tough program, but it prepares all teaching candidates well so that they succeed, even in their first years. They, and I, will excel past our peers and be valuable employees to our schools and our students."

"Basing the rating on the beginning of my program and the last year of my pre-grad studies, I feel the faculty and staff are the best aspect of studying in the English program at CSU Stanislaus."

"The graduate program of history at CSU Stanislaus is great. The requirements are challenging yet manageable. I have enjoyed my graduate experience so far. The best part about the program is the faculty. It is a relatively small department with only eight full time professors and one secretary. They are a very diverse group ranging from the religious fanatic to the ultra feminist/minority advocate and to the environmental hippie, but it would be an understatement to say that they are all great professors. Every last one of them is extremely helpful and approachable to all students. They answer all emails promptly and they will take the time to sit and talk with you even if you do not have a class with them that semester. I have never been turned down for a 'letter of recommendation' request, I have never been turned down for help with a research paper, I have never been turned down for advising, even if the professor was not my adviser, and I have never been turned down for when I just needed to talk. They are wonderful and amazing professors that I hope to one day emulate."

"The English program at CSU Stanislaus for the most part has excellent professors who are committed to seeing their students succeed. Occasionally, because of budget cuts, necessary courses were not offered every year, or the semester when they were needed for my program. This made it difficult at times to choose courses in the order that was most beneficial, and ones that were pertinent to my specific career goals."

"Pros - staff is very knowledgeable of material and make the classes enjoyable. cons - no winter or summer session classes available. If you need a class and there are not enough students, the class will get dropped"

"CSU Stanislaus' Bachelor of Science Nursing program is rigorous, but also rewarding. Be forewarned, the program will take over your social life if you do not learn to prioritize your time. I have just finished my first semester, and while the workload was overwhelming at times, I received an immense amount of support from the faculty and my classmates. The faculty and students worked together to master the skills needed in order to prepare us for the nursing field. I am proud to be a second semester student in a nursing program with a 100% pass rate in the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). I am excited to start my second semester because I know I will be learning from professors who have a great amount of experience in the nursing field."

"It's a very competitive program to get into, but once in the help from the professors is great. They are there to help you with anything, and you get a lot of hands on experience in the field you are going to work in."

"The English program is competitive and the standards are high. The graduate professors are excellent educators and are for the most part interested in the success of their students first. I feel ready to proceed with my career and know where to get help in areas in which I still feel weak. I am satisfied with the education I have received at Cal State Stanislaus."
