"I really like the quality of education and the environment at Carnegie Mellon. I recommend the Construction Management program and I can also speak the same for other Civil Engineering programs here. I wish there was more effort towards career and industry development."

"Great program, and awsome faculty and staff. The program strives towards innovations and building a brighter future. It has great flexibility when it comes to classes, which is a huge plus. Also there is a large diversity of academic backgrounds, not just engineers, which brings a unique aspect to the program."

"Great reputation. Sometimes the school seems to be riding on that, however. Graduate classes claim to be challenging, but due to grade inflation, they end up not being too hard to pass. There are no GAships for Master's students, only PhDs. The range an quality of students are exceptional. I've really enjoyed learning from my classmates."

"It's a great program, but as in all programs, I think a lot of it depends on the match between the student and advisor. My advisor has been helpful and supportive, but I cannot necessarily speak for everyone else in chemistry at CMU."

"The department isn't too big, so it feels like a community where students and professors can interact comfortably. The program is pretty diverse, and the staff is really friendly. It's a four year program, which is both good and bad."

"The graduate programs are very competitive, and focus on application of real world problems. There is often group work which can be challenging if teammates are not cooperative. Most professors have office hours, but some do not and are difficult to reach by email. The students in my graduate program are coming right from undergraduate school. Overall, the program is pushing me to learn the new applications for creating software."
