"This program is highly competitive and incredibly difficult. That being said, Case Western School of Law is very well-respected in the legal and local communities. The area of Cleveland itself receives a low rating for safety, however the cost of living is incredibly affordable."

"Working this program is challenging. The school lists it as a four year program but they do try to help you to make it possible to complete in 3 1/2 years. Cleveland is a nice area, I have certainly lived in worse. But I am a country girl at heart and so I prefer quiet country living to the hustle and bustle of the city. The Campus is a relatively safe place and the school does a lot to try to stay on top of issues that do arise from time to time. There are always opportunities for networking and learning outside the classroom. The law school in particular hosts many guest lectures that are about an hour long and can give students and faculty an in depth look on a specific aspect of law that they are interested in. (e.g. Family Law and how to treat child victims of abuse, counterintelligence demands of the war on terror, or even something like the problems in I.P. law that stem from a world that is almost entirely virtual now). The Political Science Department is great too; although there is really no graduate cohort in this area. I am one of 2 students pursuing a graduate degree in the department, but i personally feel that gives me a leg up because I have the nearly undivided attention of the faculty that are teaching whatever class I happen to be taking at the moment. Case is a great choice for law and not too shabby for the Political Science Department either."

"Case Western Reserve University school of law is an amazing place to choose to attend law school. In terms of academics, there is a great encouragement and tendency for students to support one another. The career office is amazing, and the network Case has allowed connections all over the country and even academically. They are generous with scholarships. The professors and staff are always willing to meet with you, help you, and do whatever they can to make your time as a law student easier. Great pick for a school-- no regrets. The only significant cons to attending school here is the unreliable Cleveland transportation system, sometimes safety is an issue if you venture too far from campus in the wrong area."

"Great school. With a hefty financial aide package. You just have to get over the fact that it's in Cleveland. There is stuff to do here. But not as much as could be hoped for."

"CWRU School of Law has its ups and downs. The instruction is great, the professors care about preparing you for the bar and real practice and generally take a genuine interest in your future. There is plenty of opportunity to get involved in extra-curricular activities such as legal clinics, volunteer work, journals and peer tutoring. One thing that could be improved is the administration. Financial Aid is important for many students, and during my time at CWRU there was only one adviser for the entire law school. While I never had an issue myself, I knew several others who did. I just do not think one person is enough for the program size. Also, the career development office could expand its efforts to help those students from out of state who are looking to find jobs in their home states. With that being said, CWRU is located in Cleveland, OH a city that is making a comeback of sorts and has some great opportunities for young professionals in various fields. Not a bad option if you don't mind the Midwest and are concerned about the job market."

"The professors truly do care about you and are there to assist you both in class and in your future career. Make sure to take all opportunities to know them because they are well connected and are great for providing you with job contacts. I also value the fact that Case focuses on giving 3Ls experience in the field before graduation."

"Cleveland has a vibrant legal community, and is a wonderful place to study law. It has a low cost of living, and lots of things to do. Case Western Reserve University School of Law has amazing faculty and staff who are all very supportive and accessible. As a student, you really feel that they are invested in you personally. The campus generally feels safe, and there is a very visible security presence on campus, but it is an urban campus. Transportation to and around campus can be a little inconvenient, but not excessively so. The program is challenging, but manageable. The school does not have a "cut-throat" type of competitive atmosphere, and the other students are generally friendly and cooperative. Overall, Case Western Reserve University is a great place to study law, and I would choose it again if I had to go back and start all over."

"CWRU law provides a great value legal education. The faculty are willing to meet with you to make sure you understand the class material. The cons of the program are the limited amount of jobs listed by the Career Development Office but that is more of a reflection of the state of the legal market and not the ability of the CDO staff"

"Case Western Reserve University School of law has many friendly and open faculty who are consistently willing to assist in any way. The school is very job focused and has a plethora of internship opportunities. Their international programs and scholarship opportunities to finance study abroad and unpaid internships set them in a league above other law schools."

"Pros: Great international law and health law programs. Amazing access to faculty and career services. Probably the best thing is there is a healthy level of competition. What sets the law school apart is we are a community and everyone wants to succeed, but won't throw you under the bus. Cons: In comparison to my undergraduate institution it is somewhat harder to meet people and there are not many places directly on campus or even near campus that are great for hanging out at."
