"I was part of a small but individualized program where I was given the attention and support that I needed to be academically successful and later, professionally successful."

"I'm a current student at Case Western's MS in Medical Physiology programs. The goal of the program is to boost students' credentials and help them enter medical school, dental school, or PA school. With regards to that, here are some of the pros and cons of this program. Pros: - Proximity to great sources of volunteering (University Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, Louis Stokes Veteran's Medical Center, and other health related organizations) - Advisors. You are given an academic and career advisor in order to help plan out your goals - Lectures are given by extremely intelligent professors who do want you to succeed and help. - You have access to tons of resources in the form of TAs who served in the year before, a vast library system, and a very strong technology resources. - Timeline to finish the program: you can finish the program anywhere between 2 semesters to 2 years Cons: - The program can be costly - Students can easily be overwhelmed due to the amount of material presented."

"This is an amazing program that is extremely challenging yet rewarding. We have such a supportive class and our instructors are with us in the classroom and our mentors at the hospital during clinicals. I am in the Masters of Anesthesia - DC location and I am extremely proud to be apart of this wonderful school and great growing field."

"The MSA (Master of Science in Anesthesia) program is a rigorous 2 year program that includes didactic learning as well as hands on learning (clinicals). Cons: The Houston program is fairly new, so there is still much that needs to be improved on, such as organization. Often, we do not know that we have a class until a few days before. Pros: Case Western students get operating room experience around their 4th week in the program, which is much earlier than the other AA programs in the USA."

"Pros: Private University with high emphasis on critical thinking and research. Online and web based courses available as well as on campus meetings and seminar type classes. High expectations, even stronger assistance in terms of educational, financial and internship placements. Great location for healthcare opportunities and research networks. Technology is emphasized and evidence based practice is strongly encouraged in nursing scholarship. Cons: Schedule of classes not available early enough for ease of calendar planning at workplace, must take time via vacation for classes. Cost is high, but financial aid is always well provided, as well as counseling and student employment opportunities. Overall, the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University offers an ivy league education for those seeking strong reputational associations. It is blessed with highly respected and well educated faculty, curriculum that boasts a research orientation and critical thought, and also offers different modes of learning for adult learners. One final encouragement to the RNs with associate degrees only: Case has a bridge program that is easily done in a year's time to enter any graduate program. Think BIG!!"
