"This program was fantastic and I feel it prepared me for starting my Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology. There are great opportunities to get experience within the field including observing in the on campus clinic and even having the opportunity to have hands on experience providing speech and language services as an undergraduate student. This helped me further understand and know what demands would be placed on me as a future SLP. The courses provide you with additional requirements determined by ASHA for graduation from the Masters program.Read Less"

"I think that parts of the education were fine, but I went straight into an MBA program without any meaningful work experience. Without the work experience, I think that I did not value what I was learning to the degree that was necessary, and in many ways it ended up being a waste. I wish I would have appreciated the lessons more, read more of my books and been a better student rather than worrying about grades."

"My experiences mostly come from my specific graduate program. I did not feel very connected to my school as a graduate student. I felt that there were more opportunities for undergraduates but also that the campus has a "party" culture. I felt that I received a good education and was prepared for the workforce."

"Quality, affordable education. CMU has many resources for students to use. The class list has been developed very well allowing you to get all the classes you need when you need them. there are many opportunities at CMU even though it is in a small town."

"I completed my degree through CMU's Global Campus program which allowed me to stay close to home and continue working at the job I had at the time. My job was at Victoria's Secret and, despite most views on the company, this job was very important to me because I felt that it was teaching me things that I wasn't able to get in school. For example, 2 years into my employment, I was approached with the opportunity to participate in a 6 month management training program with the company. The great thing about this opportunity was that it prepared me for business in general, it was not solely focused on Victoria's Secret or Limited Brands (the parent company). The CMU Global Campus made it possible for me to continue working towards those goals while still obtaining a great education. My teachers for my undergraduate program were fantastic. They encouraged and pushed me to do my best with challenging projects and class participation. One of the things I like the most about the Global Campus is that you aren't learning from career professors who have no insight into the actual business world. All of my professors had been, or were currently, a part of some aspect in business for many years and were able to work that into lectures and discussions in order to give us a real world view. These teachers were also willing to work with scheduling issues. For example, when I worked my internship, there were a few nights that I had to work events that conflicted with class. Never once did I have a teacher put me in a position where I had to choose, instead they would work with me to make sure that I was able to work the event while still obtaining all information from class. If you are looking for a school that can fit a crazy schedule with teachers who understand real world experience, CMU's Global Campus should definitely be considered. Your degree comes from a nationally accredited, well known university, but can be done without having to bend and fold to the regular college lifestyle.Read Less"

As an active duty Coast Guardsman on random patrols at sea, Central Michigan University has helped with admissions, tuition and degree plan. The university's professors have took time to fully explain courses and help students succeed."

"I attended Central Michigan University. I received a Master's in Educational Technology. I absolutely loved the program. I learned so very much about using technology in the classroom. This was an excellent experience. The entire program was online. The professors were very knowledgeable and used the online courses effectively. Even though it was completely online there were opportunities to learn from others with discussion boards and evaluating each others' work. "Central Michigan University is a great institution in the laid back setting of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. One of my favorite aspects of CMU was its campus. This is because it was small enough that I could walk to all my classes, and it never took more that 15 minutes. I also enjoyed my classes. Some were very challenging, but the instructors were fantastic and provided the resources to be successful. I am happy with my degree in biology. However, I did the general option which is very non-specific and covers a vast array of topics. The downside of this is that many employers are looking for specialized graduates, so if a student is looking to work immediately upon graduation this is not the best option. The perk of this degree, is that it's perfect for students, like me, who weren't 100% sure about the career they want to pursue. With my degree I was eligible for a huge selection of graduate programs, and after deciding on a career I was able to apply, and get accepted, into a great graduate program.Read Less"

"My program did a great job of preparing students to enter the work force in the engineering field. Many of the professors had connections to companies throughout the state and brought in employers for career fairs and project sponsorships. The professors did a great job tailoring the curriculum to make sure the skills you require to enter the work force were taught. The campus overall was well run and provided many opportunities to students such as career events, career services, advising, and mock interviews. I enjoyed studying at Central Michigan University so much that I am pursing my masters degrees there.Read Less"

"The faculty are usually friendly and approachable and are willing to meet with you to assist in resolving matters. There is much online access for traditional students as well as global campus users. I have enjoyed most of my classes at this college so far and have grown with many of them I have taken. I am hoping to continue on as a graduate student in English once I finish my Accounting degree."

"Great school! Large enough to have lots of opportunities for academic and extracurricular involvement, but small enough to be comfortable and not intimidating to a non-city girl. I felt like I got to know some of the professors well and had guidance for being successful in school and in applying to professional schools."

"The faculty are very helpful with accommodating our personal schedules as well as helping with any course work we may have questions on. They are all easy to approach and listen with an empathetic ear. However, they do take the flexible schedule to a whole other level when they require us to take out of class time to take exams. This can be frustrating at times especially if you are working or have other commitments outside of school."

"CMU's MBA program is filled with professors and faculty who genuinely care about students and are successful in the fields that they teach. They bring their experiences into the classroom to improve the course of study. If I had a concern it is that some classes, i.e. FIN classes, are not always available in a timely manner."
