Amazing program! Was challenging but if you put forth the effort you will do amazingly. I graduated with a 4.0 passed boards two weeks post school on first attempt. I wish they will start assisting students in the future with practicum sites. This would be a great help to students.

Rules were constantly changing. Student services didn't even know what to tell us as policy continued to change. There have been many deans and interim deans all of which have differing degrees of understanding to a situation or circumstance. If they chose to write you off, you're done. I had to pay an Atty to get a recorded call played and secure my spot back into the program, as I was given incorrect information and management refused to hear me or pull the call until I hired an education Law specialist.... Immersion weekend at chamberlain is a joke and is very expensive. It is a good 45 mins outside of Chicago and the hotel they recommend has a twin bed. They claim the weekend has a 100% pass rate but I know they have failed numerous students each term. Also, you do not get a second chance as they claim! On the second day they send you home after testing and you get your results within a day or two of starting your next possible clinicals.

Don't go to this school. All the negative reviews are true. I have lived it. Clinicals are a disaster. Professors are terrible. I have spent many nights crying. Go to another school. Immersion weekend will cost you and its nothing but stress. You dont really learn about the real world as your soap notes in reality will be 1 page, your soap notes in class will be 4. Teachers are so terrible. Practicum coorindators as useful as toilet paper. And when you get a teacher that doesnt like you they give... Read More

Chamberlain is the most unorganized, dysfunctional organization I've ever dealt with. When I first was looking into attending I was told by the admissions woman that if I chose the FNP program I could choose to do my Capstone clinicals in psychiatry as that is the field I'm most interested in. After a year in the program when it was time to set up my practicums I was informed that that is not allowed under any circumstance and never has been. So I was already feeling very frustrated with the fact... Read More

I chose this online program because I need the flexibility to go back to school on my own time as I juggle FT work and family. Chamberlain provides a good education as long as you put all the work into it and don't cut corners (complete all the readings and activities within the allotted time frames). Nearly all of my professors have been amazing; very knowledgeable, engaged, and receptive to my questions and needs. Personally, I am half way through my MSN and find that I have become a stronger leader... Read More

This is my first class at Chamberlain. I am not impressed at all. The purpose of an instructor is to educate. The instructor gives grades with inadequate feedback. I teach a CNA class and have a firm belief in explaining inaccuracies to the students to ensure a productive learning environment. If a student does not understand it is the job of the instructor to explain or give an example of the correct way to do it.This online program has not impressed me thus far.

I believe that with any program you get what you put into it. I have read some of the reviews, as far as the clinical portion, They tell you in the start that you are responsible for your one clinical rotations. If you are that in need you can attempt to contact the nearest campus and they will assist in you rotation. I agree that some of the teachers are less then desirable. However, with any institution they do not reimburse for failed courses.

CHAMBERLAIN ADMINSRTATION DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR MISSION STATEMENT TO DEVELOP EXCELLENT NURSES OR CARE ABOUT THEIR STUDENTS! APPLICANTS BEWARE! I completed my BSN through Chamberlain approximately 1 ago. There were issues with poor tech support and changes made to the online class process that created tedious study experiences. Overall, I enjoyed my BSN classes. However, my MSN is a totally different story. I have had long wait times on hold to reach IT (greater than 30 minutes on hold at times).... Read More

Under NO circumstances would I recommend this college to anyone. They are not helpful to their students during the courses. Each teacher uses a different set of rules to grade (mind you I have 3.9 GPA). They do NOT follow national guidelines for immunizations. They do NOT give you all the information needed when you start your programs, so by the time you are given the information you stuck having to pay HUGE amounts of money or drop out at the very end. I had several people tell me not to attend... Read More

Do not use this school. They have instructors who intentionally want you to fail and hold the students to extremely high standards while their instructors don't even meet their minimal requirements. I have never received an F on anything my entire life and had an instructor who gave me a failing grade on a paper. I have wrote 5 previous papers for other classes with high A's. I followed the complaint process and the schools response was the instructor who did a blind review graded it within 10% of... Read More

Excellent program with very knowledgeable, well educated instructors. Problem-based approach of teaching, drawing upon personal experiences. Evidenced-based practice was strongly impressed upon. I felt very motivated to learn and am now in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program through Chamberlain College. I have worked full-time during this process, and while it is difficult at times, I have be able to be successful. I would highly recommend this program to any nurse who is interested in furthering... CCN is not the school if you are looking for am online college. There is no consistency in the program. I had financial aid and the school is sending me a bill and requesting that I pay it in full before I can start my next class. The practicum coordinator is a joker who does not return calls or responds to emails. Forget about talking to the dean, Distler; he does not help either. There are instructors who wants to correct you on APA formatting when they themselves do not know how to format in APA.... Read More

I have nothing but good things to say about this school. I graduated in Dec. 2016 w my masters in FNP and the school has been very helpful with all of the information needed to provide to both AANP and BON. I have continued on with this school for my DNP because I appreciate how helpful they have been and how organized the online setting is.

This program is solely out to make as much money, with very little explanation for what the fees are for. They don't send you a bill to let you know when you have a balance, and if it isn't paid in 30 days they send it into a payment plan which they charge you interest on all without telling you that any of that is happening. The class work is easy enough, but it is likely that you are just paying your way to a degree. I wish I could go back in time and go through another school. Biggest disappointment... Read More

I finished my BSN and I am now in the MSN FNP program. I have learned so much from this school. Why? Because they skip the nonsense and the fluff and allow me to focus on what is really important. As a working nurse I need concise clear cut work assignments. I appreciate the reminders by email about small things. They want you to succeed. It is not easy, they treat you like a competent nurse that has critical thinking skills. They do not bog you down with nonsense. Every assignment has what you must... Read More

I received my BSN through this school and was pleased, and I'm enjoying the FNP classes. I do wish they were faster at working out site contracts for what is paid by students for services, but I am happy with the education received so far. If you are expecting help with finding a preceptor you will not get that here.

Prospective students of Chamberlain pay attention to the negative reviews on this site; they will provide a much more realistic portrayal of life as a Chamberlain/Devry student. First off, Chamberlain is expensive compared to other schools, even when considering the BSN-MSN bridge programs. The financial aid department excels at making costly errors and will do more to make situations worse than to help resolve the issues. I received more than one large and unexpected bill because of errors made... Read More

I actually graduated from Chamberlain with my BSN as a blended program and am finding my masters as an online program. It is consistent in terms of program quality. Some classes are very hard, some are easier, some instructors are amazing, and some repeat the same syllabus year after year. They are more strict (as they should be) in the graduate program as we are preparing for masters level career. I passed boards as an undergrad with 75 questions. I knew my material well and seemed to do better... Read More

Overall great experience for all of my nursing degrees. Education is current and financial/student services helped time and time again. The clinical coordinators leave some to be desired but clinical placement is a sore spot in every program. Highly recommend it
