"Chamberlain is the most unorganized, dysfunctional organization I've ever dealt with. When I first was looking into attending I was told by the admissions woman that if I chose the FNP program I could choose to do my Capstone clinicals in psychiatry as that is the field I'm most interested in. After a year in the program when it was time to set up my practicums I was informed that that is not allowed under any circumstance and never has been. So I was already feeling very frustrated with the fact that I wouldn't be prepared for the area I wanted to work in like I was initially told. Then I went a period of time without a practicum coordinator because of turn over issues within the school. At this time I called the school to find out what to do and was told to submit all of the paperwork and requirements directly to my clinical site so that I would be able to start on time. 1 week before the start of my clinical rotation they emailed me saying I needed to complete another background check, a two step PPD, physical, and drug screen. Not only was in impossible to get all of these things done within that time frame, some of them I had already done through my clinical site but was instructed that wasn't good enough, and they wanted me to submit all of this information into a 3rd party website which would take 3 business days to process the info. I was told there was absolutely nothing that could be done about expediting the process through the 3rd party (complio). After crying and speaking on the phone to 7 different people over the course of 3 days I finally was able to speak to a manager after threatening to call the board of education. Prior to that I was continually told by everyone I spoke with that nothing could be done. Eventually I was registered for my course 3 days late, having been required to miss 2 clinical days because I wasn't allowed to be there since I wasn't registered for the course, and an assignment. On top of all of this, many of the instructors don't actually read or grade your assignments which is great if all you're looking for is an easy A, but when it comes to preparedness for clinicals and your subsequent career, you're out of luck. I feel as though we are not prepared to enter into the clinical setting and that we lack advocates at the school. The whole program is a disaster and I would not recommend it to anyone. My advice is do not attend a for profit college."

"I chose this online program because I need the flexibility to go back to school on my own time as I juggle FT work and family. Chamberlain provides a good education as long as you put all the work into it and don't cut corners (complete all the readings and activities within the allotted time frames). Nearly all of my professors have been amazing; very knowledgeable, engaged, and receptive to my questions and needs. Personally, I am half way through my MSN and find that I have become a stronger leader within my field, having applied the concepts to my everyday interactions with colleagues and other professionals. There's something to be said for nurses being life-long learners!"

"This is my first class at Chamberlain. I am not impressed at all. The purpose of an instructor is to educate. The instructor gives grades with inadequate feedback. I teach a CNA class and have a firm belief in explaining inaccuracies to the students to ensure a productive learning environment. If a student does not understand it is the job of the instructor to explain or give an example of the correct way to do it.This online program has not impressed me thus far."

"I believe that with any program you get what you put into it. I have read some of the reviews, as far as the clinical portion, They tell you in the start that you are responsible for your one clinical rotations. If you are that in need you can attempt to contact the nearest campus and they will assist in you rotation. I agree that some of the teachers are less then desirable. However, with any institution they do not reimburse for failed courses."

"CHAMBERLAIN ADMINSRTATION DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR MISSION STATEMENT TO DEVELOP EXCELLENT NURSES OR CARE ABOUT THEIR STUDENTS! APPLICANTS BEWARE! I completed my BSN through Chamberlain approximately 1 ago. There were issues with poor tech support and changes made to the online class process that created tedious study experiences. Overall, I enjoyed my BSN classes. However, my MSN is a totally different story. I have had long wait times on hold to reach IT (greater than 30 minutes on hold at times). When I would finally reach someone at the help/IT desk after a long wait, there were times where they were not at all knowable in the area they were assisting me in, stated they would place a ticket for someone to contact me to assist me further, most times I received a return call or email. Multiple complaints about 2 instructors who were at best absent and/or inflammatory still continue to teach. Now they have instituted a new online design with has had numerous glitches. At times I have been unable to access parts of my class and books. I am tech savvy but the new design took and glitches took me over 5 hours just to navigate and attempt to access IT. Please keep in mind this school was designed for those of us who work 40+ hours weekly, yet they role out a completely new design that crashes regularly. Guess what?? my assignments are still due on time regardless if I have all my resources or not and they are still charging the full amount of tuition! If you notice that that only satisfactory thing I reviewed was their financial department. Chamberlain Administration could care less about its mission statement or its students as long as they get their money. Guess what, there's little to no wait times when you call the financial aid department."

"Under NO circumstances would I recommend this college to anyone. They are not helpful to their students during the courses. Each teacher uses a different set of rules to grade (mind you I have 3.9 GPA). They do NOT follow national guidelines for immunizations. They do NOT give you all the information needed when you start your programs, so by the time you are given the information you stuck having to pay HUGE amounts of money or drop out at the very end. I had several people tell me not to attend this school because it was so expensive and they had not heard many good reviews. However, I asked the admissions coordinator I was working with about the issues brought to my attention and was assured these concerns had been issues in the past, but had been dealt with. LIE! You are forced to send emails because the compliance department does not have a phone number. I sent an email in March (this is June) and I still have not heard from them on that email. Not one department tells you the same thing. I am stuck having to pay over $2000 out of pocket, under budgeted, in order to finish my last 2 classes!!!! What a horrible school!"

"Chamberlain College Of Nursing is an excellent online program for all nurses who want to advance their career and pursue a higher level of education. This is especially suitable for those working individuals that can't commit to a full-time school schedule and want to take their courses in the comfort of their home or work schedule. I loved the fact that I could only take one class every eight weeks and move on to the next one. The staff is very helpful, and their customer service is exemplary. They are very efficient, and the layout of the courses are very straight forward. They also provide you with many resources to pay for your tuition. I highly recommend this university to all my fellow nurse."

"Do not use this school. They have instructors who intentionally want you to fail and hold the students to extremely high standards while their instructors don't even meet their minimal requirements. I have never received an F on anything my entire life and had an instructor who gave me a failing grade on a paper. I have wrote 5 previous papers for other classes with high A's. I followed the complaint process and the schools response was the instructor who did a blind review graded it within 10% of the previous grade so there is no change. They can't provide any further information or let me see the comments. Do NOT use this school. DeVry, HCA and the United States Military are doing themselves a disservice to be associated with such a poor school."

"This school provided an excellent education. It was very easy to navigate the student portal and provided me an excellent education while working full-time. It was almost all online except for one weekend and allowed me to work at my own pace and at the time I was available. I especially like that the school provided a review course in the last class that helped organize and expand on the knowledge I had already learned."

"Excellent program with very knowledgeable, well educated instructors. Problem-based approach of teaching, drawing upon personal experiences. Evidenced-based practice was strongly impressed upon. I felt very motivated to learn and am now in the Doctor of Nursing Practice program through Chamberlain College. I have worked full-time during this process, and while it is difficult at times, I have be able to be successful. I would highly recommend this program to any nurse who is interested in furthering their degree. It won't always be easy, but it WILL always be worth it!"

"CCN is not the school if you are looking for am online college. There is no consistency in the program. I had financial aid and the school is sending me a bill and requesting that I pay it in full before I can start my next class. The practicum coordinator is a joker who does not return calls or responds to emails. Forget about talking to the dean, Distler; he does not help either. There are instructors who wants to correct you on APA formatting when they themselves do not know how to format in APA. You have to find your own clinical site. You do not get any help from the school. There is also inconsistency with the requirements for the clinical sites. I had to sit out three semesters because I was told by the practicum coordinator that the sites I found were not appropriate even though these were private medical practices. However some students were approved sites for pain management and a physical therapy. If you are looking for online courses do not consider Chamberlain College of Nursing. Run as far as you can from them. To add insult to injury I graduated this March and my name was not even on the program."

"I found the on-line program to be informative and very interactive. Everyone was enrolled into the classes because they wanted to advance their careers, so everyone fully participated on the on-line discussions. The student population was diverse with many different career paths so it was amazing to read the different takes that everyone had on a situation. Instructors and students alike would ask more probing questions to assure that you understood the topic and they had a clear understanding of it as well."

"Love this college. Was very upfront with what to expect during the enrollment process as well as working towards my degree. Teachers are very helpful and there is IT available 24/7. Since most of my classes are online this highly important to me. Would highly suggest looking into. Plus you get to take one class at a time which is helpful when your a full time working single mother!"

"I have nothing but good things to say about this school. I graduated in Dec. 2016 w my masters in FNP and the school has been very helpful with all of the information needed to provide to both AANP and BON. I have continued on with this school for my DNP because I appreciate how helpful they have been and how organized the online setting is."

"This program is solely out to make as much money, with very little explanation for what the fees are for. They don't send you a bill to let you know when you have a balance, and if it isn't paid in 30 days they send it into a payment plan which they charge you interest on all without telling you that any of that is happening. The class work is easy enough, but it is likely that you are just paying your way to a degree. I wish I could go back in time and go through another school. Biggest disappointment that I could have expected. They are very helpful when you are doing all of the application but once you are into a program all of the nice people and helpful people seem to disappear."

"I finished my BSN and I am now in the MSN FNP program. I have learned so much from this school. Why? Because they skip the nonsense and the fluff and allow me to focus on what is really important. As a working nurse I need concise clear cut work assignments. I appreciate the reminders by email about small things. They want you to succeed. It is not easy, they treat you like a competent nurse that has critical thinking skills. They do not bog you down with nonsense. Every assignment has what you must know to be a top notch professional. I love this school. I hope I make it through the MSN, it is fairly expensive. I tried a public University and they were so disorganized and unprofessional it was a disgrace. They did not care at all."

"I would recommend Chamberlain College of Nursing online courses to whom ever would like to attend college. I have truly enjoyed my experience. The courses were short and work at your own pace. The professors gave you opportunities to ask questions and they responded with in reasonable time when you needed them."

"I received my BSN through this school and was pleased, and I'm enjoying the FNP classes. I do wish they were faster at working out site contracts for what is paid by students for services, but I am happy with the education received so far. If you are expecting help with finding a preceptor you will not get that here."
