"If you want other pharmacists or pharmacy students respect you, if you wan to go for residency or working in a hospital setting DO NOT go to this school. The staff are very unprofessional, the program is the worst when you compare it with other pharmacy schools, and you are minority if you are not African-American meaning NO favors!"

"This is a great school and its a Historically Black College! I am not sure that I could ask for much more. In the years that I attended which was around 2006, I had some really great professors who opened my eyes to some really important issues. I would recommend this school to anyone attempting to pursue their undergraduate studies economically."

"I am a proud alum of the great Chicago State University where I received my BA degree as a student in the board of Governor's Program with a minor in Psychology. I will say that CSU has underwent several transitions over the years, however, the educators there are truly awesome teachers. CSU may get a bad wrap, particularly due to Administrative issues but if you take just one class there you will be certain that the actual instruction you receive is invaluable. Initially, I too was hesitant because of swirling rumors, but after speaking to a few students of CSU and a few advisors I knew that CSU would be the place for me to go to complete my undergrad degree. Also, it is in a great location (close to transit/ heart of the city) and it is very affordable. Coming from a private school, that ate up most of the loan monies as well as the grant monies I received, I was relieved to attend a school that utilized my grants primarily even leaving me enough money left to buy my books and supplies needed."

"Chicago State University is a great school to attend, if you're interested in Criminal justice or nursing. Csu has been talked about for awhile and a negative way, but they fail to mention the positive things about Csu; such as how successful certain programs are, and how great the professor are."

"I attended the masters program here in counseling. The program was great. The teachers were wonderful and I had a great camaraderie with my peers. The teachers were so helpful and encouraging, they were definitely there to ensure that I succeeded. I felt so prepared to go into my field of work."

"If you are looking to immerse yourself into an inspirational, influential, and innovative environment as undergraduate, Chicago State University is waiting for you. Located in Chicago's historical Pullman neighborhood, Chicago State University offers many choices to help you define yourself not only as a student, but as a citizen of society. Many of the instructors are world-traveled, well-renowned, career driven individuals willing and ready to impart their knowledge upon. It also doesn't hurt to be 20 mins away from Chicago's great skyline and Magnificent Mile of shopping. I am appreciative and proud to have received the experience I received from Chicago State. I was given the opportunity to open my thoughts, my heart, my options to a world beyond my understanding. Isn't that what you want?"

"Chicago State is has some of the best teachers in their education department. They are knowledgeable and current with their educational instruction. However, dealing with the administrative offices can be quite difficult. They often are slow to provide information and when they finally do the information is incorrect. I would recommend CSU but be prepared to face an up hill battle dealing with administration."

"I am beginning my PharmD grad program in the fall. I feel the stresses that the school/life balance will be tough in the moment, but in the long run, it will be something to look back and cherish because those were the steps I took in order to pursue my dream to become a pharmacist."

"Chicago State University's MOT program is the cheapest accredited program in the state of Illinois, which is a huge plus for a poor graduate student. While the school itself isn't the greatest, the MOT program is full of faculty who are dedicated and there for the students."

"This is a relatively new program and the direction that it is heading is most definitely a positive one. The facilities and use of technology itself is pretty low in comparison to other campuses. However, with the constant remodeling this can quickly change."

"Pros of my Program: - I love the Program I am studying, Mental Health Counseling. It is not only about Theories, but the instructors leave you to do hands on-experience in Counseling. - My instructors are very flexible and understanding of my busy schedule. - The Program grades you on your Efficacy, Persistence, and the responsibility you take on learning 100% about the Program. Cons: - The university does not have a reputable recognition for administration, which concerns me when applying to future jobs. But the staff is amazing... - The Program is very low in candidates, which is better for instructors to personally know their students."

"Great faculty and staff. Extremely helpful and supportive. Quality education at a reasonable cost The area isn't the most aesthetically pleasing; and there aren't a lot of restaurants/university life near bye. Definitely a commuter school."

"Pro: I did not expect to be challenged as much as I have at CSU. Nevertheless, I have and the professors are amazing and very profound. I am learning so much from the Social Work program that will assist me in career and everyday life. I appreciate the accessibility of my professors and their support efforts. Con: The campus is not located in the best area of time but security is always around so it makes you feel safe at times."
