"Christopher Newport University is a gem amongst the many colleges and universities in Virginia. It has a private school feel with a public school cost. The professors at CNU truly care about their students, and are willing to do anything to help the students achieve their goals. Being part of the President's Leadership Program was an added bonus, because I was provided with an extra support system that pushed me to not only achieve my goals, but to set my sights higher. CNU was the perfect University for me to grow into the person that I always dreamed of becoming, but never knew how to achieve."

"As a student in the Neuroscience program, I was able to see how departments developed from nothing to having students walk for graduation. I was able to graduate a year early with a major in Neuroscience and a double minor. If I had stayed one more semester, I could have double majored easily. CNU's Neuroscience program helped me get to graduate school and land a job in my field to build experience while building my education. I was also able to nearly completely fund my Bachelor's degree with scholarships and grants from CNU, even if I had to make a couple of phone calls to make sure they all arrived as needed (the Financial Aid office handles so many documents, I have no idea how they manage)."

"The professors at CNU are great. They are willing to help answer any questions you have. They know what they are talking about and are eager to share their knowledge. I feel like I am receiving a quality education in the MAT program."

"I'm incredibly grateful for the time I spent in Christopher Newport University's Teaching Program. I received a lot of support from the programs faculty, especially during my student teaching experiences, and I especially benefited from the one-on-one mentoring provided to me during my student teaching experience by my university supervisor. The quality of our education was also exceptional. While the work was rigorous, I left CNU with many of the practical skills I needed to properly manage even a challenging classroom and with the understanding of various learning styles and how to access those styles that every great teacher needs. I truly believe this program has prepared me to be a great teacher."
