"Best part of this program is the faculty and welcoming environment. Maybe not quite as prestigious as the very top schools, but a great graduate education and experience with many diverse fields of study possible. Not much excitement in the surrounding area, so be ready to concentrate mainly on school."

"This program is amazing. As an undergraduate, I went to The College of William and Mary. Now, I am continuing my education as a graduate student. The sense of community and tradition is indescribable. Not to mention the academic honors that William and Mary is widely known for. The people that I have met and work with are second to none. I truly believe that my experiences in my M.Ed in School Counseling program are preparing me to become a highly effective and much needed Professional School Counselor. The only con about my program is knowing that I will have to leave at the end."

"Pros: teaching and research assistantships for Master's and PhD students; professors are very approachable and willing to help even students who are not their advisees; historical sites, Busch Gardens, beaches, Richmond, etc. are nearby Cons: small graduate program; social scene is typical of a small town"

"I think that my graduate program is fairly diverse. It is definitely more diverse than I had anticipated. When I say diversity, I do not just mean in terms of race or national origin. I mean that there are people of various ages that go to school with me; people that come from all different types of backgrounds; people that have their own families / children; people that have worked in the real world. I think this helps contribute to class discussions and fosters precise thinking in class. I think this helps all of us learn from each other. People are very driven and hard-working, so competition is fierce! Sometimes that can be frustrating and intimidating, but ultimately, it forces all of us to push ourselves to excel."

"The Graduate Business programs at William and Mary are excellent. The new Business School building is very modern and incorporates new technologies in all areas. The staff is always helpful and willing to guide students in the right direction. The Williamsburg, Va area is very welcoming and there is always something to do."
