"I found the Grant riding class very very useful. I also found the leadership course very useful. I was at the end of my career and used my military benefits to further my career. I wrote several grants that helped a lot of people. I would highly recommend the school to anybody that is wanting to extend their career and help people."

"My time at Colorado Technical University was great. I enjoyed the online classroom instruction weekly and the individuals that I have met from various locations throughout this country. My graduation in June 2011 was a real highlight and I really felt great in receiving my Masters of Science Degree (MSM) in Management in Criminal Justice (Although they do not give out this degree anymore). I have seen some who have said that they had a bad experience at this university, but I would tell them that maybe this was not a good fit for them. I am now working on a Doctorate in Public Administration in another Online University, but my time at Colorado Tech has not been disappointing at all."

"Colorado Technical University Online was a Godsend to me. As a mother and wife and working mom, online classes were my only option to finish my degree. The classes were short which helped me earn my degree at a quicker pace. The classes were taught by professionals in the field and not just Professors that studied the subject. They worked the field and new it first hand. Any time I called the school regarding financial aid, classes, or anything in general they always had an answer. Great school all around and I refer people to the school all the time."

"It was a great school. The school worked for me at the time. It was easy to work raise a family and keep up with life while going to school. I would really recommend the school however a person needs to consider their future while in school. The school was amazing academically."

"I like Colorado Technical University as far as how easy it was to attend classes online, however I did not like that my degree was not explained in full detail to me before I registered. The class connection was good and thought that I was able to connect with other students."

"I agree about the grammar and foreign exchange thing. I graduated with a MBA in CJ and the discussion boards and group projects were the worst! I have no idea how a "professor" can pass students with such poor knowledge of the written English language! I am sure they all passed just for completing the assignments. Not sure what their grading policies are or if they even acknowledge poor grammar and writing skills. Overall, my goal was to receive my degree and that is what I did. I used financial aid and the degree has actually benefited me in my current position and positions I will receive in the future with promotions and such. I am currently employed in a really good organization with a lot of room for moving up the ladder and thanks to my degree, I can do that. The courses were very time consuming, since the classes consisted mostly of writing assignments due every week. I would rather write than take tests anyways. Therefore, I enjoyed it. I enjoyed researching and compiling evidence. The instructors were nice and responded if you emailed them. I actually breezed through the degree program without opening one book, LOL. I use the internet to research very often and that was all I needed. I would recommend CTU if you enjoy writing and researching on a deadline. The course assignments are always posted by the first day of class, so you can get a head start and be done with all the assignments if you wanted to do that. If not, time management is key! As I stated above, the worst part about CTU, in my opinion, was reading the discussion posts by some of the students and the group projects. I made it a point to only read the one's from students that I knew could write well. Nothing much to do when it came to group projects since we were assigned our groups. I just went back and revised everyone's part to make sure it sounded good. Oh and I forgot to mention, once you graduate, they have a fee that you have to pay. For me, it was $200. IDK about anyone else. What is the fee for? I have no idea. I had no idea that I owed a fee until I received a collection notice. That sucked when I tried to get my transcripts. I had to call the transcript service to find out why I could not get it and then I had to call the school, which then sent me to the collections company. It was a hassle but has since been removed from my credit report, so no worries there."

"When I would go to the financial aid page, it would say the average program tuition cost was like $8,000, leading me to believe that this was the average for this school. Turns out, it was the average nationally, and that the tuition through this school was FAR higher. Also, when telling potential employers about my degree, they don't even acknowledge it. I literally had one laugh when I told him where my degree was from. They claim to be fully accredited, which is a blatantly fraudulent claim. They also blatantly lie about their placement statistics. Pretty much everything they tell you to get you to enroll is a complete lie. And their degrees cost about four times what a community college or even a private not-for-profit college does. Complete fraud."

"As an adult college student with a full time job and family online school was a great fit for me to be able to go to college. The ability to log in and listen to the recorded classes and then complete the assignments at the times of day that worked for me was a plus as well. The cost is high but for an accelerated education it seems to fit in with other online accelerated learning schools. The negative is that your teachers are often times not even in the same time zone as you and this can delay getting needed information about assignments if you need help."

"With the program consisting of entirely online courses, the pacing allows me to have much more control over fitting my degree program into my very busy lifestyle. Having the ability to do coursework when I can is very important to me because I work full-time and have a lot of other obligations that sometimes made the idea of going back to school daunting and almost unattainable."
