My time at Colorado Technical University was great. I enjoyed the online classroom instruction weekly and the individuals that I have met from various locations throughout this country. My graduation in June 2011 was a real highlight and I really felt great in receiving my Masters of Science Degree (MSM) in Management in Criminal Justice (Although they do not give out this degree anymore). I have seen some who have said that they had a bad experience at this university, but I would tell them that... Read More

Don't be fooled, this school is worthless as was ITT Technical Institute. I had tough at ITT Technical Institute, I disagreed with their teaching style, if they were teaching anything that is, I had advocated for the student success, but the school was against it, they only cared about the numbers, same as Colorado technical university, they only care about the number, ask their Chicago office staff and they will tell you how worthless this school is.

i really do love this school. just because you can work at any pace before your deadline. its pretty simply if you can keep working on your studies . if your a busy person just by completing 20 mins a day help . it does say study at least 3hours a day . that doesnt matter if your completing everything you need to be done. very great school . so far i have been almost a month and its great. i really do hope it continues that way i graduate around 2021. hopefully sooner would be nice

I finally got to a point in my life last February 2017 where I was ready to start and complete a Masters program. I had previously started one then quit because I wasn't focused enough nor following the right path in life. I decided to take the leap one last time and now I am one class out from finishing this program. Even though it is fast paced, it's worth it. Typically your average Grad program is 2 years at minimum , I was able to finish within a year and a half nearly. The student advisors were... Read More

All of the negative reviews here are hilarious. They are complaining about how things clearly published in the schools website (without even being logged in) caught them off guard and they didn't know about it. You sign an agreement outlining the tuition costs, it is common knowledge what the add/drop deadlines are, nobody is going to hand-hold you through being an adult. With regard to academic advisors changing, does it really matter? You only ever need to talk to them when starting or ending a... Read More

I had tried on and off for 20 years to get a college degree, I struggled mightily when it came to brick and mortar schools. Online was just the right medium for me and allowed me to complete my BS, and now I am looking forward to starting my Masters.

Long story short I went to CTU and graduated but once I graduated they stuck me with a huge bill which was never advised to me. I had to take a class 3 times because on a conflict with the instructor. I was told by the school that they apologized and "dropped the ball" I have a ton of emails from different staff members which the turn around rate is ridiculous at this school. The Ombudsman department contacted me acting like they were the good guys and they were on the students side but they aren't... Read More

I started Colorado Tech University Online a few months ago. The staff seem pretty good! They are very courteous and helpful. However, my complaint lies within their online educational system. I'd had times where I got the answer correct, but the system said I Was wrong, but the answer it provided was the exact same thing. I've had times where the multiple choice answers didn't have the right answer, but when it gives solution it tells you the right answer. They provide online tutoring for free, using... Read More

Rip off. For profit school that only wants money. My two year degree cost me thousands of dollars. They prey on you. After enrollment you are on your on. Its not worth it I promise. You cannot get your bill or explanation fo charges. Very rude and condenscending instructors and financial aid staff. They are all in it together guys. 3k for two classes! Not including books or misc fees. Hopefully they get shut down next for preying on individuals and ripping you off.

I read a lot of the negative reviews before I started but one of the best ones was the person who said you have to be very proactive so I followed that advice. I graduated with my cyber-security degree bachelor's in 11 months I took advantage of the Fast Trax and the prior learning and I have maintained a 4.0. I graduate in 5 and 1/2 weeks then I start my masters in cybersecurity of which I plan to do the same thing and start the doctoral advantage after 3 courses. Many people complain that they... I am just finishing my degree at CTU online and have been very happy with my experience. First of all, their online portal is great. It is very easy to navigate and user friendly! I had looked at other schools previous to my enrollment at CTU and CTU by far had the most impressive online portal. I found the instructors to be helpful, and always answer questions. Out of all my courses, I only had one instructor that wasn't very helpful, however after reaching out to my student adviser, the issue was... Read More

It opened doors to a six figure income. 5.0 star rating The education has afforded me many opportunities and opened many doors. It's a good option to consider. I enjoyed the business administration program. It was challenging and informative. However, you need to be an independent learner.

I am a current student at CTU- I graduate on Aug 10th! However, I have already landed a job and start on Monday! The job comes with great benefits, great pay, and advancement opportunities! I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews! I started in Nov 2016 and was supposed to graduate Mar 2018- however, with fast track classes I was able to graduate early and SAVE money on tuition! I believe you get out of life what you put in! I attended CTU and I had to stop for CANCER treatments. My advisor did not tell me I could drop without paying until a few days AFTER the drop date. The school is still pursuing me for 1700+ even after my employer and I sent them my leave of absence, and medical records. My employer who paid for tuition even called and spoke to a supervisor through their contact. I have called numerous times, always told they will send my dispute up and I will hear back. This school only cares about money. The students bring in income and as long as they get your money they could care less about you and your needs. Graduated with Honors and they treat you like crap. I keep requesting to talk to someone who can help and I get transferred back and forth between 3 departments. Over this!

You are basically teaching yourself since you are not in a true classroom setting which means you must be diligent in your studies. I graduated with a Bachelors in Business Admin. and the career services were a joke! They speak to you on the phone but do not help you in anyway. I am now over $60,000 in debt and my pay has not increased significantly enough to even pay back my loans.

I am graduating next week. The work is intense. One has to be focused and determined to go through this program at CTU. It is true that 5 weeks are not enough to get to know any of the subjects 100%. I went into this degree with work experience. I had a foundation by the time I started, and it truly expanded my knowledge about this discipline. I came in with an associate's degree and attended 3 other colleges prior to finishing up at CTU. Pros: I thought their online format and website/navigation was the best I have ever used. A+. I attended Portland State Online, and trying to navigate their "Blackboard" took me 30+ minutes every time I logged in. CTU definitely has the online experience down.
