"CTU, is a Regionally, Accredited University. I have read a lot of negative reviews concerning CTU. As a current student, I like their learning format. There are numerous writing assignments, that have to be, written and submitted, utilizing the APA format. Writing, can be a challenge for some people, therefore, if you do not write well, I would not recommend CTU. Also, alot of the writing assignments, will be due, back to back, which is not easy. I do not like the Quarter semesters, due to, the out of pocket cost, that can be associated with this, but; you are able to reduce your classes per session, to avoid this. It will take longer to graduate, but; you will have obtain an Accredited degree."

"My master's program was offered completely online, and I received my degree in 15 months. I had no time off between quarters. I could not go out with friends at all. However, I ended up earning 4.0 (all A's) thanks to CTU faculties and classmates that I 'met' whilst I was on the program. I do not disagree that the online software could be choppy sometimes, but at the time I graduated, the online program software was much better than my company's meeting application. I earned my CISSP which was in line with the program I was taking within 4 years of graduation. Between my master's and CISSP, I could secure my current job. Thank you, CTU!"

"IntelliPath is the online software used by CTU. IntelliPath is frustrating and requires many times the hours needed for any given subject due to the wrong answers and required answer entry formats that result in answers being scored as wrong. IntelliPath has been reported many times over many quarters by many students, yet, the incorrect material is not corrected. IntelliPath requires textual entry of material that can be misconstrued such that correct answers are scored wrong. IntelliPath has wrong answers, yet, after being reported many times as wrong, the incorrect answers remain. Students do not learn from IntelliPath. Instead, they are instructed to merely record the correct answers provided by IntelliPath after a wrong answer is scored and repeat the modules for a better grade by giving the memorized answers. (IntelliPath allows modules to repeated for better grades). Since the question pool is comprised of only a few questions, it is easier to record the correct answers and repeat them back when repeating a module. The use of the fraudulent IntelliPath leads to the conclusion that CTU is not interested in being a quality school but is interested in making money as a Diploma Mill."

"First bad sign: This school only uses E-books, meaning I really hope you enjoy staring at a screen for hours. I had to buy an e-reader to keep from getting headaches. Second, the classes just really repeated everything I learned in my bachelor's program. Third (and I want you to pay attention to this one): I decided to withdraw, but I already know how institutions get nasty when you try to withdraw and even try to say you owe them money. I did a different tactic--I did not log in, or turn in any assignments in a move to deliberately fail the class and have my GPA fall below the required standard which would ACCORDING TO THEIR GUIDELINES require them to suspend me from the school. They did in fact send me a letter saying I was suspended and that I had 10 days to present an appeal, otherwise I would officially be withdrawn. EVERY SINGLE ONE of those 10 days, student advising office sent an email saying " You need to submit an appeal or you will be withdrawn! Time is running out! Do you need help on how to write an appeal? We'll walk you through the steps!" I made no response. The deadline passed and the student advising office sent an email saying "I spoke with so and so and they granted you a 7 day extension. But this is your last chance! The appeal does not need to be long, just explain what happened and how you intend to keep up in classes. We'll help you through every step!" Astonishingly, they even signed me up for another class even though according to their guidelines, I was suspended and could not take any! I let the 7 day deadline pass and ultimately I was officially withdrawn....but THE SAME DAY that I was withdrawn, I got an email from a "re-enrollment" advisor asking if I would like to re-apply to the school on probationary status. Yeah. The school is a sham...any legitimate school would not beg a student to return after being forced according to their policies to kick them out, and give them chance after chance. Usually it's the student doing the begging and pleading. Avoid this school, it's a diploma mill on the same level as the University of Phoenix."

"I am going to be as straightforward and honest about the school without whining about how no one handed me anything on a silver platter or how whatever office was hard to work with. Here we go, are you listening? SKIP THIS SCHOOL. It is overpriced, the courses are far too short, and the curriculum has absolutely no challenge at all. I was in the Master's program for 6 months and they practically handed me A's in all the courses. Know how easy it is to have a 4.0 GPA at CTU? My laptop was stolen while in the middle of a course, and I could only use a library computer until my next paycheck the following month. I had lost all my research and work but to avoid being dropped from the class, I typed up a paper using the knowledge from the top of my head and thought I would take a C in the class and improve it next time. I got an A. People--how do you earn an A in a class doing ZERO RESEARCH and call it a "master's program"?!? Now let's talk about the instructors and CTU's penchant for hiring people whose accent is so thick it's so incomprehensible. With the exception of one instructor (who earned his Ph.D from Devry Univ) all of them spoke horrible English and gave weekly lectures from Powerpoint slides. None of which I watched because I didn't know what the hell they were saying. The curriculum: The study notes and aides provided by CTU are very basic and nearly on a middle school level. The "assignments" involve reading 7 chapters over one week and writing a 2 page paper discussing one random topic covered. In so many other words, their idea of a master's program is just to read a book from cover to cover and write some basic papers. I CAN GO TO A LIBRARY AND DO THAT FOR FREE! You are more or less teaching yourself at this school. There is no experimentation or analysis or complex projects. Just reading and writing basic papers. And when I say "basic" I mean basic as in covering topics you already learned in a bachelor's. Even though I spent only 6 months here, it was a MASSIVE waste of my time and money. I learned absolutely nothing whatsoever, I don't feel that I have "mastered" anything, this school is a joke that has no business with any kind of accreditation and should only be attended by people who want to pay $30,000 to read books. Don't touch this school with a 10 foot pole. You will regret it!"

"This university is a joke. For eight (8) credits I paid close to $12,000. The school claims I still owe them money. I could not get help with problems. When somebody did answer an email or the phone, I could not understand them as they do not speak English or it is broken English. I feel anybody wanting an education should apply to a REAL school and not this diploma mill."

"I started CTU in 2009 and received an associate, bachelors and masters degree. I also got accepted into their doctoral program and completed 3 years i had one year left but my student loan financing ran out. I felt like i had enough education to get a good job after 3 years of applying i cant find a job or even get an interview. I got jobs in food places waitressing and doing retail cashier work. I have no criminal record and have always worked hard to be an example for others but i work under people who are felons and have criminal backgrounds. I am almost homeless because i cant afford rent. I live with friends and i am in 250,000 student loan debt. This has drove my credit score down to 444. I am still trying and applying for jobs everyday but no one even calls me. I really thought yhis school was good but i was wrong. Employers do not respect degrees from ctu."

"When I would go to the financial aid page, it would say the average program tuition cost was like $8,000, leading me to believe that this was the average for this school. Turns out, it was the average nationally, and that the tuition through this school was FAR higher. Also, when telling potential employers about my degree, they don't even acknowledge it. I literally had one laugh when I told him where my degree was from. They claim to be fully accredited, which is a blatantly fraudulent claim. They also blatantly lie about their placement statistics. Pretty much everything they tell you to get you to enroll is a complete lie. And their degrees cost about four times what a community college or even a private not-for-profit college does. Complete fraud."

"My courses were laid out since day one and 4 weeks before "graduating" I get told they messed up and I need another year to a year and a half of classes. Total fuck up on their part but who cares if someone's personal life gets completely screwed. Keep track of your own stuff because they have no clue what you need for any degree."

"I took all my classes online. Most of them were challenging and I'm grateful for that. Otherwise, I feel, you do not learn as much. Some classes had more interaction as groups vs. groups which is not my style but we all learned something working as a team and managing to cover the work that others were too lazy to do. Sometimes that meant for late nights depending on what coast your team/partners were on (Might I suggest working with people within your own time zone on big projects). All in all, it was a good experience and the majority of the professors I enjoyed listening to and learning from."

"Contrary to the negative review that you read about CTU and its instructors, this school has been quite a challenge. Incredible instructors who are subject matter experts in their field. They are true professionals who present a challenging learning environment. They will not hold your hand thru any degree. You are expected to be mature adults and to perform each task to standard. It requires effort and discipline. They work with you when life happens to afford additional time to complete assignments. Through four years, I have only had one professor that I can say was bad. All of the others have been exceptional. From what I have seen thru my four years in this course, those who complain about the courses and the instructors probably should not have entered college to begin with."

"I really enjoyed being a student at CTU. I was able to coach my son's soccer team, be a boy scout leader, Play guitar and drums in a band, play in my adult soccer league and work full time. I had the opportunity to be a father a husband and a student! CTU allowed me to be the first one in my family to graduate from college by being open 24/7 for any questions i had. I do not understand how students cannot take advantage of FAST TRACK to finish even faster! The assignment are laid out for us from day 1! I finished my associates and bachelors here and i would never go anywhere else to do it. There really is no excuse to not like CTU with everything it offers."

"Having graduated with my Bsc in Applied Science and Technical Studies, I would like everyone to know that I am not someone looking for the easy way out. The first issue is dealing with a professor who taught a course on problem solving using Java. The teacher during this course, completely disregarded the text book and went on rambling about self created concepts/ideologies. After asking the professor about stacks, she indicates that stacks do not exist in Java?! Anyone can tell you that stacks are existent in java, especially when it comes to problem solving. She also indicated that we aren't using Java. It would be obvious as the text book is titled, "Problem Solving Using Java." Secondly, affordability goes out of the window when dealing with this college, especially if you're a veteran with time constraints. This college is an absolute money guzzler! Thirdly, senior level students are not on the level as you would expect, as in writing abilities. You have students who can barely write a comprehensive sentence, who will be graduating with honors. I am not perfect but senior level students should at least be able to write a simple sentence. My final issue is that the success coach that was assigned to me, indicated that getting a degree at this institution is like going to McDonald's to make an order. This was the last time that I spoke to anyone at this institution, and withdrew shortly thereafter. Be careful with these guys!"

"Some people make excuses in order to avoid their responsibilities. I love my education in CTU. Nothing is given for the asking. I worked hard for it and graduated at the time I was told I would. It is serious business to go to school. No body will baby-sit you. But help is always there for you. Most of the instructors were excellent and responsive. I feel very confident in what I learned in business, operations and supply chain endeavors and cannot be happier. Again, I have an associate degree, bachelor's degree and now an MBA all from different schools. So, I feel I can tell you at least a little bit about education. In the end, you make it whatever you want it to be for you. No one forces a horse to drink water after it has been led to the stream."

"I currently have 13 classes left to graduate and work practically 2 fulltime jobs. School is all effort and if a person is not willing then just like any other school, it would be a waist of time. The teachers are great, my experience has been great and I have not really had a bad time here. The majority of time, if any moment I had any concerns or questions about assignments or grades, I would email the professors and they always returned my email almost right away. Hope this helps and best of luck!!"

"I would like to say I had my questions and concerns about CTU. I been enrolled for 10 mouths this now. I love it. Not much of a problem for me. I have made great grades so far. Only had to repeat one class so far which was Eng-103. I hate English, plus my laptop just broke. So that made it harder to complete my course. I believe in this school, I've waited and prayed for this. The checks have been very concisdence as well. I am able to communicate with instructors and classmates. It is 100% real to me. I will keep doing my work and research. By. Tabatha Nicole Perry. Class of 2018....."

"This school is all about effort. If you want all of the information to be handed to you then look for another school. On a day to day basis, you should expect to put in around 3-4 hours of research in order to get the best out of this school. The other main consideration is that you will be completing your education entirely online. For me this worked out perfectly, but I can imagine for many people out there, it will be an extreme challenge to sit at your computer for the required amount of time. Do not listen to the reviews claiming that they have horrible teachers, hound you for enrollment, etc. I had one bad experience with a teacher, and by talking with my student adviser we were able to clear up the issue without any additional issues. I have multiple job opportunities, but instead have decided to pursue a Bachelors at this college. At the end of the day, if you are looking for an online education that will fit a crazy schedule, this is a great place to attend. You can get by with minimal effort, but honestly if you are looking to further your career you should expect to put in the time and effort."

"The school as a whole is good, the classes are very informative and well structured, it’s like any other college you get good teachers and u get not so good teachers. I haven't really run into a bad teacher yet, I have had a couple really good ones and some boring ones. My only real discrepancy is with the financial department. They have been trying to get my federal transcripts for months now and it is really irritating. I sent in the paper 6 times 5 times they say there was an issue with it and it wasn’t accepted, I finally had my wife write it to make sure it was neat and legible and they are still contacting me. I would say my big issue was I didn’t know that you had to sign up for each class throught tuition assistance (yes I’m in the military) before each class I guess I wasn’t educated on that part now I owe 3 thousand dollars to CTU and they will not work with me at all on the debt, its pay or we stop your schooling. Overall I gave it 3 stars because the actual school work is good, but the financial portion is garbage."
