"Concorde Career College - Aurora is the nursing school of last resort for anyone in the Denver Metro Area. The school has consistently had a poor first time NCLEX passing rate. While attending, Concorde, I learned the nursing school had lost the full approval of the Colorado Board of Nursing in June of 2015 and was placed on conditional approval. The nursing school did not have nursing accreditation from the Accreditation Commission For Education in Nursing (ACEN). Many if not all hospitals require an applicant to be a graduate of a school with either ACEN or CCNE accreditation. ACCREDITATION MATTERS!!! Concorde Career College - Aurora is in candidacy for accreditation with ACEN and if they get their first time NCLEX passing rate up and make the corrections required of ACEN they should get accredited. The classroom instructors are OUTSTANDING! Second to none. However, clinical sights are poor. Very few hospital clinical sites are available. I do not feel that my clinical experience afforded me by Concorde Career College - Aurora had adequately prepared me for my first nursing job. Most of our clinical instructors were agency nurses as the college is unable to keep enough nursing instructors on staff for the college's instructors to supervise our clinical experience. Concorde Career College is a for-profit school. There is nothing wrong with making a profit. However, Concorde will squeeze every last penny out of its students it can. Supplying students with uniforms that can only be purchased from the school. Selling students textbooks at full retail price and charging a handling fee on top of that. The same textbooks can be purchased from Amazon or other retailers for considerably less. Several of the texts that the school used were the previous edition as a newer edition was available. Again, several texts that we were required to have we never used and were told that they were for reference. We never referenced them, or there were better resources to use as references. Lastly, the school was going to online-based classes for general education courses. I was fortunate enough to be able to take my general education classes on campus. Courses like Chemistry, College Algebra, and Microbiology should NOT be taken online in my humble opinion. I did pass the NCLEX on my first attempt. However, I am having difficulty obtaining employment in a hospital due to Concorde Career College's School of Nursing not being accredited. Until Concorde's program receives accreditation, I can not recommend the program. I believe that since the Colorado BON has moved the status of the school to conditional, it may lose its approval to teach nursing if they do not receive accreditation by June 2017."

"I'm attending the RN program at Concorde Career College in Memphis. This is a fast paced program and you need to be very dedicated to be successful. I would most definitely recommend this program to other. I believe currently it is an 18 month program which includes general education classes required. This school also has a contract with Christian Brothers if you desire to obtain for BSN. The teaching staff is very knowledgeable in their field. My only negatives are that schedules change slightly. And some of the clinicals sites are up to 100 miles away. These are all things that can be dealt with if Nursing is where you really want to be. This program is good for older adults who feel like they do not have several more years to spend at a traditional college."

"This school is the worse school you can go to, the staff doesn't even care about your education, they will push you through just until you get to the end and you don't know enough to pass the predictor or the nclex. Now lets talk about this predictor, its an ATI test that is suppose to tell you how are going to do on the nclex well here at Concorde to pass you need a 63 which is equivalent to getting a 73 on the nclex and guess what that's failing!! The curriculum at Concorde is not properly planned out i cant tell you how many times we had multiple exams in one day some of which were 10+ chapters its nearly impossible to overcome. We also have some instructors who because the have a higher level of education they feel like you should already know all of it and can talk to you anyway they want. A unprofessional instructor should not be teaching professionalism. When an instructor is approaching the campus president and director of nursing because her entire class is failing because they are lacking the skills that they were suppose to get in another class and they say "well the students are not my first priority making money is so we cant fail them all do something" what does that say about this school as a whole? We have approached every problem we have had since the start of the program and nothing has happen now its 6 terms later and half the class cant graduate now they are looking for answers. We have no clinical sight besides nursing homes because we keep losing the hospitals because of our reputation and its horrible. Concorde is a self teach college we learned drugs and injections off of a YouTube video like really look at like this if you were a patient is the hospital would you want someone sticking you with a needle who learned off a video and has never done it on someone or even been able to practice on a fake arm or etc like promised when you first enter the Concorde tour? When you come to the Concorde tour they make it seem so perfect well you ever hear if it sounds to good to be true it usually is? well that's what its like being enrolled at Concorde. Please people read this and take my advice do not come here its a horrible school don't waste your time and money, sounds good to finish in 15 months but 9 out of 10 don't finish in 15 they finish in 2 years+ for that go to a good college like FSCJ and get your education the right way , don't ruin your life i promise you it will be hell."

"Constant changing of DON and teachers. The teachers expect you to understand the full material in a week which is impossible because you have 2 important classes at the same time. They don't understand because they went to a 4yr program and had time to understand the material so they expect you to get it. Test and quizzes every day. Some clinical sites don't want students and sometimes you don't learn anything there. The business manager keeps coming to the class even if you are a day behind on payment, all they see is money. Would not recommend this school to anyone. Go to a school where they actually care about the student because this is not that school. Save your money, this school is also on probation. You cannot work while going to this school because it is so oberwhelming"

"Constant changing of instructors, dons, everything even front office staff. The business manager harasses you about payment in front of others. The last don was a crazy woman who felt the need to control any and everything plus the school is on prohibition!!!"
