"York College, CUNY is a unique and diverse college filled with endless opportunities for students like myself! What lured me to this school was its one and only dual degree BS/MS Occupational Therapy program! Not only will I save time but money also. I believe I am receiving a great quality education which will prove me to be an exceptional asset to my field. I've come across professors who've inspired me to not only strive my best in my academics but in all that I set my mind to in life. I've gotten the opportunity to take leadership in begining a chapter of the national organization called Intervarsity Christian Fellowship to whom a dedicated community of students belong today. York has taught me the power of unity in diversity, what it means to be an outstanding citizien of my campus, and how to be a true professional. I'm grateful for my experience at York College!"

"The Occupational Therapy program of the City University of New York- York College is a very competitive program. This program only accepts thirty students out of the three-hundred and fifty or more students that apply. Yet it is beneficial in that it is a combined Bachelor's and Master's degree program. To continue with this program, in the first year you must have a GPA over 2.8 and within the next two and a half years you have to maintain a GPA that is over a 3.0. They are really looking for those individuals who are overachievers, are willing to excel in whatever they pursue, are demonstrative of the fact that they enjoy working in this field, have an outgoing yet respectable personality and are serious about receiving an education."

"Pros: Graduate program provides an effective curriculum where students are able to utilize the information during clinical rotations. In addition, professors are available for mentoring and additional classwork help. Con: Program curriculum does not include hand diagnoses which is an area of growth in the career."
