"This program is an in depth study that allows an individual to understand the human mind. Overall the degree is straight forward. The professors are helpful and the classes are interesting. The classes are at night and allow a day time job. The only downside to DBU is the cost of the private school."

"I attend a graduate program on a satellite campus for Dallas Baptist University. The classes are at night, so it makes it easy for those that work to attend. Everything about the Master of Arts in Counseling is great. The professors are very much available to your needs. The only negatives I have are lack of graduate level scholarships and expensive tuition. I know it's a private school, and that usually means higher tuition, but in a bad economy, it would be nice to have lower tuition. Other than that, my experience has been great!Read Less"

"Tell us about your college experience.For me, the best outcome from college is the friends I made. The schools I went to were good fits in that the people around were people I wanted to be friends with. But, they were expensive and I don't feel like I got a good education. I have two Bachelor's and one Master's and cannot find a job.Would you get the same degree if you could start over?NO!!!! I would choose something practical. I might even choose to go to a tech school where I could learn skills.What advice can you offer other students?Choose wisely! Take your time. Don't rush into a college or a major. "The graduate programs work well for students who are working full time. They also offer convenient locations for classes. I like that the professors who teach the courses are actually working in the field. Staff members are always available and willing to help students. I feel that they could add more variety of graduate programs. It would also be helpful to have more field experience while enrolled (especially in the education related majors)."

"Dallas Baptist University provides an academic setting infused with faith producing a Christ-centered education. Pros: Professors are knowledgeable in their prospective field. Professor are available to students and make time to accommodate students. Students have access to a high level of education. Students have the ability to incorporate their beliefs, spiritually, in their studies; making a more personal approach to academics. Cons: Cost. Dallas Baptist University is a private institution so cost for students in regards to tuition and other fees will be higher than public universities. Parking is often horrendous. At the main campus parking is virtually nonexistent during the day from about 9:00 am to 5:00 pm unless you would like to park extremely far from your class and walk which would entail that you arrive 10-15 minutes earlier.Read Less"
