"Pros: Amazing faculty. They are accessible and compassionate about student's education and quality of life. Student/Faculty community is unmatched compared to colleagues who attend other law schools. So many organizations to get involved, LARGE facility with so many resources, and students maintain a healthy, friendly, and competitive environment. Name recognition across the country was advantageous when networking out of state. Cons: Legal writing program is utter garbage. The curriculum needs some serious updating and the tenured professors lack personality and inspiration. They are bitter and condescending. This is completely contradictory to ALL the other professors I've taken, whom were charismatic, energetic, and have become mentors in my life. Would like to see more specialized classes in the overall curriculum. Nothing wrong with the classroom sizes now, but I would also like to see less students per class. Though I've never felt unsafe, security in the building lack's personality, motivation, and presence."

"I found it very easy to immerse myself in the diversity of educational programs available in DePaul University. The Academic Support workshops helped me learn techniques to study and take exams in the current environment. This was invaluable for a student who last sat in a college hall in 1987. In fact, I was so happy with DePaul, that I have applied and received acceptance to return for a 2 year JD program to enable me take the Illinois bar."

"DePaul Law has great networking opportunities in the city. It is also easy to get to, located in beautiful downtown Chicago. And, with their new third year program are trying to expand their practice opportunities before graduation."

"DePaul law is a great school. I enjoy my classes; the professors are friendly and helpful. It just cost way to much. There are very few options when it comes for paying for the education."

"Our program has many areas where it can improve greatly. Our writing program, in particular, needs to improve so that our students are practice-ready as soon as they graduate. That said, the advantages of being in Chicago's loop, with access to transportation, and being within a few blocks of most of the law firms and governmental agencies that our students are applying to is undeniable. Our career services office is strongly connected to our alumni and have been incredibly successful at networking students with prospective employers. Our academics push us hard, but the school makes certain that we have no shortage of social engagements to keep us involved."

"This is a great Law School with amazing and extremely smart professors. They are always available for help on class work and career advice. DePaul College of Law has an extremely large and beneficial alumni network that does everything they can to help. This is especially beneficial if you plan to practice law in Chicago. Cons: it is a small campus and there is hardly any diversity."

"Pros: This is a great program especially if you are interested in public interest. The student community here is not competitive; everyone helps each other out. The school has a good reputation in Chicago, and it is located right by the Chicago Bar Association and court houses. It's in a great location in the loop by all major El routes. Cons: There is limited study space within the law school, but it is located right by a huge public library, other universities with accessible libraries, and other DePaul buildings with study areas."
