"I found aspects of the program to be wonderful including flexibility, accessibility of most faculty, and my internship experiences. The capstone experience was. Faculty was negative. demeaning, and unprofessional. If someone were interested in pursuing a MPH, I would wholeheartedly recommend doing a program that is not online and one in which you can build a collequial community where faculty are full-time faculty, passionate about teaching - not working other jobs and teaching as a side gig."

"Des Moines University is a great school with a very practical Masters in Health Care Administration curriculum. The lecturers were always available to help with questions or concerns. The Masters in Health Care Administration combines both online and class format. You can study and work full time."

"Campus was nice and clean. Attracts a very focused group of students, ready to study hard. Coursework is very challenging and tests are intense..but it's medical school, so I guess you'd expect it to be. Campus life is really close, they care about your family as well. Significant others are always invited to events and given opportunities to join clubs themselves. They work hard to get you great clinical opportunities too."

"I began my education at DMU in August of 2015. I have been very pleased with my education so far. My fellow students and staff are excellent. I would recommend checking out our program if you are interested in Osteopathic Medicine."

"I love the flexibility of the online MPH program at Des Moines University. I have time to work while in school and attend classes in my own time. I do miss the personal connection of traditional school though. In all, DMU has provided me an opportunity to earn my master's degree from a CEPH accredited university, while being taught by passionate and caring professors."

"I am currently pursing a degree in osteopathic medicine (DO) at Des Moines University. My decision to attend DMU was based on my interaction with the current students during my interview. Out of the 9 schools I interviewed at, they had the most positive attitudes and welcomed the prospective students. This attitude has been carried into my current class. Our class is incredibly supportive of each other and encourages each other to succeed. During our courses, we are able to interact with students in different programs (MSA, DPM) and gain an understanding of what it will be like to work with different professions. In addition, our professors truly want us to succeed and make sure to be available whenever they are needed. Several professors come back to campus in the evening to answer questions the night before an exam. Our Dean is very involved in our education and every department is approachable and helpful. One the other deciding factors to come to DMU was the campus and its resources. DMU has a wonderful gym with classes available, a recently remodeled library with ample study areas, tutoring services, and counseling services. Medical school has been more emotionally draining then I have ever imagined it could be; but feel my success has been made possible by my professors and peers. DMU is not in my ideal location and it is more expensive than other DO schools; however, these cons are minor when compared to the quality education I know I am receiving."

"I am currently enrolled in the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Des Moines University, and I absolutely love it. The coursework is rigorous, but manageable if you work hard and utilize the resources provided to you by the school. I moved to the area from my home that is located pretty far away, and I have encountered nothing but welcoming faculty/peers and accommodating administration. I honestly cannot think of any cons that apply to me personally, but I have heard from fellow students that they wish public transportation was "better." However, many of these students moved to Des Moines from areas with a high walking-commute population (ie., New York City), and didn't even need a car. The transportation system (DART) is free for students, and many students who didn't bring a car with them to school simply live across from campus and walk to class. The pros are far more numerous, and I could talk for days about the open-door accessibility of the faculty/professors, the accolades awarded to various departments, programs, and colleges within DMU, as well as the affordability of living in Des Moines. Overall, I would choose this graduate program again and again."

"Des Moines University provides me with excellent resources for success. They are a boards focused school and put up scores above average for both DO and MD programs. Hands down the best DO school that I interviewed at. The faculty was on my side from the moment I walked into the admissions office. Because there are no undergrads on campus, there is a very professional feel. (For example, there are no rules about no eating in the library or auditorium. We are expected to act and behave on a higher level.) They have an active diversity program focused on promoting understanding and acceptance of peers and future patients with different cultural backgrounds. There is very good support for students with families. They have a mother's room for my wife if she needs to feed my baby in privacy while she's visiting me. They also have an active spouse support group that does weekly activities. This is the best school to go to if you have a family."

"DMU's online MPH program is excellent. The coursework was relevant, interesting, and comprehensive. The professors are experts in the field, and very responsive to students. DMU's online program is exceptional, with an online learning website that is easy to navigate and the ability to provide video-taped lectures, immediate test results, and same time communication between students. If you're looking for a quality, reasonably priced, onlin education from an accredited MPH program, DMU is worth looking into."

"I like the flexibility of the MPH program at DMU. I can take classes both online and in person. The trimester layout means students can take more classes in a calendar year than with other programs."

"I have loved my time at DMU. I have been very impressed with the professionalism of the online course. I feel like the program is worth the time, effort and finance dedicated to it. I have learned a lot, enjoyed all of my teachers and felt support half way across the US. I highly recommend DMU online if attending a class setting is not available."

"The online MPH program is convenient for a student with a full-time professional job and volunteer commitments. The learning platform and use of technology encourages virtually meeting and working with a diverse group of master's students from around the globe. My fellow learners contribute much insight and experience to the coursework. I've found that many of the professors are a bit Iowa-centric when it comes to examples and experience. I think courses could integrate current events in public health more effectively during each semester. Des Moines University really seems to strive for excellence and encourages student participation. For a general MPH program, I think the DMU MPH is a great value and a worthwhile experience."

"DMU's MPH program is high quality. Instructors are professional and are passionate about their student's learning success. The program's fully online capability allow me to continue working full-time. The disadvantage of an online program is the missed opportunity to discuss lessons face-to-face with classmates and instructors."

"This is a good, online program. I did not rate the rest of the areas because I am not an Iowa resident. I would not be able to comment on the areas that do no apply to me. The faculty is very helpful and supportive. The curriculum is intense like any other campus based graduate program."

"This is an excellent program that you can complete entirely online, which was a huge perk for me. There are still deadlines and due dates so you are held accountable for your work. The internship and capstone courses really provide a good culminating overview of what you gain throughout the program."

"There is a lot of workload in this program, but this is true for all Physician Assistant programs. There is some busywork such as in the FLEX Care course that could be removed since we do have a heavy workload in comparison to other programs."
