"This school is the worst. The administration doesn't know what they're doing and is constantly sending out mail addressed to the wrong person. The education I've received as a physician assistant was terrible and they professors are jerks-- they basically scare you and tell you that you're probably not going to make it through. Several people I knew were not able to get jobs after they graduated because people are starting to realize what a joke this school is. They used to have a good reputation but it's definitely gone downhill. Not to mention that the school is super boring with terrible food, mold in the dorms, and nothing to do on weekends. Go somewhere else."

"Treasurer/financial aid need improvement as they lack people skills, my questions are not always answered. Other than that professors are great and really care about the students. I enjoyed my classes and interacting with other students very much. It was a pleasant environment."

"Systems are not user friendly. Online security makes it extremely difficult to do the school work online with limited help. Adults are treated like kids with all security targeting an individuals integrity. Adult course shouldn't be made this difficult to attend. ."

  • Degree: Nurse Practitioner (Acute Care)
"I am currently enrolled at DeSales University in the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. The program is a hybrid program. I received my undergrad at an all on-campus Nursing program. When I initially applied to DeSales University I was skeptic because I had never tried an online program. But I can honestly say that I love it. I didn't think that I would have the support I needed but I was proved wrong. I would reccommend this program at this school to anyone interested."

"I did not graduate for personal reasons. The film program was really amazing. It was hands on right away with editing, filming, sound and so on. The cage and studio for equipment was very well taken care of and up to date. However, the Treasury Office will screw you over so quickly it is ridiculous. They ask for more money when the expenses are paid for by scholarships or financial aid and claim it happens all the time. IT SHOULDN'T!! They made up prices and stapled people with "Financial Hold" randomly. If you want the experience and your financial situation is fine then go to this school! Otherwise, find another school more willing to work with you."

"I attended Immaculata University for my Bachelors in Business Administration. Worried that this alone was not enough to set me apart from others to potential employees, I researched graduate school. I found that Immaculata had a partnership with DeSales University where I could receive my MBA in 5 years rather than 6, which saved me a year in tuition. My classes are small, so the teachers have ample time to ensure that every student understood the material. I have found that the classes I have taken are extremely useful in my day to day work. Overall, this accelerated MBA was one of the best choices I have ever made."

"In terms of a Criminal Justice Graduate Program, I believe that DeSales could be in the top contenders. Though it is a little known school, it deserves all praise for its impressive staff, wonderful curriculum, and amazing program. Not only do they have a Five-Year Masters program, but they have also partnered with the local police department so students may graduate with police officer certification (called Act 120 here in PA) and a degree."

"I have really enjoyed my graduate program thus far. I have taken all of my courses online. The teachers are friendly and understanding toward work life balance. The courses are interesting and are easily applied to my every day life. The online program gives me flexibility as well as a sense of relaxation while I am taking my courses."

"DeSales University is a quiet university located in a beautiful area of the Lehigh Valley. Their campus is always nicely maintained and cared for. I've taken several grad courses at DeSales. Some of the courses I've taken have been challenging but extremely rewarding. I've taken two particular courses that I sincerely have no idea why I had to pay for them. I basically taught myself the material and the professor rarely ever responded to emails. The school, like most grad schools, does not provide financial aid for grad students. This is a huge financial burden and something that prevents me from taking more than one course at a time."

"The faculty is SO accessible, we really are learning a lot - and they're very concerned with job placement for us. The cons are that it's rather expensive, you don't get help really with financial aid because it's graduate school, and you end up taking out quite a bit in loans."

"Overall my Family Nurse Practitioner education obtained from DeSales was overall a great experience. The program is considerate for working RN's who are returning to school to advance their nursing degree. I had the opportunity to be featured in the Lehigh Valley Womens Magazine promoting the program at DeSales University. This is a magazine which is distributed in Allentown Pa. I basically talked about how me as a Wife, Mother, Student and career women was able to manage attending DeSales University with the flexibility of the staff and course availability of online and in class lectures. I would recommend the University and the FNP program to anyone."
