"For a private institution, I was very disappointed that they do not provide any accommodations for students with disabilities. Although it was requested at several levels, the answer was a prompt no. When requesting to receive a call from those in seniority, never received a call back. When asked where I could appeal the decision, I was told there is no appeal, as I am not yet a student. However, I am not a student, as I need to ensure accommodations can be made to be successful. I was told I can not appeal, as I am not receiving accommodations, but yet they denied my accommodations. I am not sure how I can receive accommodations when they deny them. Overall, those that I had contact with were dismissive and gave a strong impression that Doane University is not an institution that serves those with disabilities. With that being said, I elected another private institution that was accommodating and made me feel like an individual rather than a number. Since I did not receive many of the students, since I did not enroll, as they did not accommodate, I will give the following ratings an average for those that do not apply."

"I had an amazing experience at Doane University. The combination of small classroom sizes and large campus involvement truly makes your years at Doane feel like you are forming a new family. I would strongly encourage all students to take advantage of the small classroom sizes and engage with your teachers. Through this, I was able to get a plethora of research and scholarship opportunities. Purely because I showed that I was a genuine human who wanted to learn."

"Doane University is an excellent institution, it supports students in multiple ways. Their professors are experts in their fields, and the rest of the faculty are committed to seeing students graduate and find careers in their field. Doane University provided several opportunities for me to participate in the professional community long before I graduated. I completed four practicum assignments in which I spent five hours a week in a classroom that was similar to the ones I would eventually be teaching in. The history departments also supported my research and encouraged me to present on a panel in which I was able to talk about crime in the local community, and engage with other students, graduates, professors and professionals."

"Doane University as a whole is an amazing school to attend. They offer a community centered education that provides a niche for all types of students. The 16:1 student to staff ratio offers a personalized learning experience that is hard to find. The staff at Doane genuinely care of each individual student and your success in school and thereafter. As they say Doane is Home!"

"Doane is an awesome place for teachers to continue their study of education. I was challenged far more, and in a much better way, at Doane than I was at other post-graduate programs. The cost was low and the learning was high--what more could any teacher ask for? On top of the educational gains, I saved money, too! Doane's program is a much better financial choice for graduate students than that of a state university."

"Doane College - Graduate and Professional Studies is geared towards non-traditional students. I was able to work full time and still attend school. The instructors are professionals that have hands on experience in the fields that they teach. Going for my Master's degree through Doane was the best thing I could have done for myself at this point in time."
