"I enjoyed my time at Duke. The faculty and administration were accessible and supportive. The workload was intense, which is expected of a school of this caliber."

"Still a young program, but it is doing a great job of leveraging the Duke Law name and brand. Alumni do a lot to support each other, and help new classes get jobs. Good program."

"The Nurse Anesthesia Program at Duke is very challenging, but has many rewards- an opportunity to study at one of the leading schools and healthcare institutions in the world. Faculty are open to students and supportive."

"Duke sociology is a very strong program. The program is rigorous, responsive to student needs and offers good support to its graduate students. The broader University environment offers lots of opportunities for collaboration and interdisciplinary learning. Durham is affordable and a great place to live. Because Duke is a selective undergraduate institution, the main downside is that there are not a lot of opportunities for students to teach their own courses."

"Duke is great, not so much for surrounding areas unless you drive. Prices are relatively low and standard of living is relatively high. Program is highly flexible and students can choose up to a highly rigorous PhD level curriculum. Non-academic job market is fine for US residents, less than satisfactory for internationals."

"Duke has a strong reputation for producing leaders in every field and draws the talent that reflects that. Duke focuses very much on intellect and research but not as much on hands on or "practical" care. My specific program is one of the best in the world, but there is a lack of diversity in terms of the student body and faculty."

"Duke is an amazing place to study. Workload can be tough but there are plenty of resources available if you need help. The campus is stunning. Durham is beautiful (very green) and there are lots of places to eat and hang out in the area."

"The DEL-MEM program at Duke is an excellent way for working professionals to get back in the classroom without leaving work and family. The faculty and staff are understanding, professional and respectful as well as knowledgeable and with lots of hands on experience. The lack of presence at campus for most of the year makes it feel like I am missing some of the benefits of being there, but leaving work and family is not an option right now. In general the program is wonderful, the people are great and the work load manageable."

"DukeMed, beyond it's status as an excellent academic institution, is also a very nurturing, supportive learning environment. The degree of support and enthusiasm received from faculty members is indicative of how they value the students and seek to assist us in our learning and career process; they are always receptive to feedback and seeking improvement. What is most remarkable, however, is the student body: very friendly and social, exceedingly helpful, high performing with [essentially no] gunnering."

"My experience at Sanford has left me feeling very prepared for what's to come. I gained critical thinking and communication skills, quantitative analysis skills, and content knowledge. On top of all of that, I have a really strong network of friends here to support my learning and needs."

"This program has great faculty and students! The requirements are not too intense, so that leaves a good amount of time for research. The cost of living is very low in Durham and there are always a lot of things happening on the weekend. It's a great place to live as a graduate student!"
