"I do not recommend this school! They are very unorganized the teachers do not even know the curriculum and are very rude. Instead of being encouraging they would set us up for failure. Please just go to salt lake community college you actually learn there."

"I completed my program (Passed National Certification and Graduated) then turned in my hours. Before about 2-4 weeks before completion I was informed that the man I was working for/doing my externship hours with was a Registered Sex Offender and the Doctor has an ongoing litigation for calling in opiate prescriptions for patients in exchange for sex. I asked my program director to change where I was doing my externship hours and she told me I should "stick it out, because I'm almost done" so I did. I turned in my hours and found out that someone told the (manager/sex offender) that I knew about his registration as a sex offender. He then tried getting the documents with my hours back from my Supervising MA. She called me panicking stating "I think he knows that you know and now he wants the final assessment to add some comments and change some things but I already faxed it and I told him I no longer have it" I was disturbed with what she was telling me so I tried contacting the MA Instructor she told me I have nothing to worry about. Her boss (MA program Director) then gave me a call stating there were some discrepancies with my externship hours. I went into the school and ended up filing an appeal. (In the appeal I begged both the MA instructor and program director not to send any other students to this "site") She told me I would hear back in 24 hours if they will be dropping me from the program or letting me redo my externship. I never received a formal call as promised by the program director. Instead The Financial Aid advisor I was dealing with sent me a text about costs of taking my Externship again. I set up the appointment to meet with her. Then I receive a call from a program director in Provo which I have never met nor know stating "(manager I was working for) called and let us know that you threatened an MA and the police are there getting statements and you should be getting a call from them soon. In the meantime I think it's best you don't even show up to the campus." I asked and begged him for more information as I have done no such thing now will I ever be capable of doing such thing. I asked for proof and asked where he was getting this information because it is a lie. It's been about 3 months and I never received a call from any officer. I then received a paper in the mail letting me know I was able to re-do my externship, a day later a received a letter letting me know I was withdrawn from the program. Stay away from Eagle Gate College."

"Excellent teachers & curriculum. Small class sizes. Staff & educators take the time to get to know students. Teachers really care about your success. NCLEX prep is very thorough & effective. Skills labs & clinical experienced were excellent. A few organization issues as far as administration but I think most colleges have some issues at some point."

"This college is horrible. I went to there Provo location and graduated. In 2014 . Couldn't find a medical assistant job no where. I applied to over 500 jobs. I've contacted career services and they never help. They tell me it's my fault I can't find a job. A lot of places don't want to hire medical assistants from their school. I wish I would've went to SLCC or another school. Maybe I would have an Medical assistant job. Instead of 4 years later no ma jobs. And a wasted degree not to mention the student loans I have to pay back for a degree I can't use. Run as fast as you can from this school. Run"

Despicable "School" - 9/12/2017
Degree: Medical Office Administration

"Disrespectful faculty who do nothing to enforce the rules. The staff are rude and belittling, they will not address your complaints, just ignore them or tell you to get over it. They'll say they "care about your and your education" but all they really care about is the money you pay the school. The staff will argue with each other, and give you conflicting information depending on who you ask. This school doesn't have a backbone, and they are the worst choice to go with in furthering your education."

Degree: Computer Programming
Graduation Year: 2005
"I noticed the Murray campus no longer offers a degree in computer programming. We were a small group, about a dozen, that knew on another. After hard work and starting at entry level jobs, I have IBM on my resume and work at a consultant. Teacher Ron Sandstrom was my mentor. I can confirm that at least (3) of us have made it, but we all had to start from the bottom. Don't believe the hype, I've worked with many students with computer science degrees from regionally accredited colleges and they do not know much. At Eagle Gate, they give you the hands on, which is what I needed. From then on, it's up to you to run with it and make the most of it."

"Plenty of age discrimination. As an older student I am constantly being told to shut up, don't ask any questions and laughed and mocked by students and faculty. I was told if I said anything they would withdrawal my degree and stick me with tons of debt. I needed a quick professional degree program, instead I got this. Teachers are poorly informed, clickish and have a desire to pick out students that are older and give them hell. I would like to be more detailed but retaliation is a strong and will happen. If you are over 30 like me, don't go here. It's just no worth it. I hate to be so negative but please listen, run...........I PROMISE you'll be lad you did!"

"The teachers are nice, but honestly the cost is ridiculous. There are all these extra costs at the end that add up VERY quickly(example-2 background checks, a drug test, exam fee, graduation costs!). I wish I would of checked around a lot more before obligating myself to this school. During my externship I talked to so many people and every one of them were shocked at how much I paid to go to this school. Not to mention that everyone else had there National Exams paid for by the school, a $129 fee, they paid less than half that I did, and in some cases got there certificates in half the time. I have maintained a 3.86 GPA, have done all the school work, went to every class and feel like I left not learning much more than what I went in knowing. I would just advise people to check around first. There are other schools that are just as good, that are much cheaper, that could get you into the job force much sooner."

"I found this school to be terrible! Most of the teachers that I had were incompetent. When learning how to do x-rays we never even saw an x-ray machine. We were told that when we were finally employed we would be able to look at the machine and figure it out ourselves. I could go on and on about how bad this school it. It was the biggest waste of money and time.I graduated and got my MA certification. I called career services many times requesting help with job placement and my calls were never returned. Most places I have found do not want to hire students that have gone to Eagle Gate College because of the crappy education they receive.Go to DATC if you want to get your MA certification. DO NOT go to this school. You will regret it!"

"They offered accelerated programs allowing me to earn my degree in less time. Their placement program is second to none and is available to Eagle Gate graduates for life! There was nothing I did not like about Eagle Gate College. My externship placement ended up becoming a full-time position."
