"The college of Psychology at Eastern Oregon University was great and set me up very well for my Master's of Social Work Program. The professors provided great insight into the profession, as well as offered extremely life-like interviews and intake sessions that allowed me to practice for many of the things that I do on a daily basis now. My advisor for my thesis guided me expertly through the research process and allowed me to combine my passions for science and art in very innovative and educational ways."

"I loved attending EOU for two years. I was a transfer student who lived in the dorms the first year and then lived off campus the second year and I would not have changed anything. I dorms gave me so many opportunities to make friends and try new things and then through the friend making process I was a able to find roommates to live off-campus the next year. The classes are of good size so that you can easily have one-on-one time with the teacher to get the extra help you need. Any questions you have can be answered and if they can not be answered, the staff find the person who can. They were always so helpful and ready for anything."

"The online experience at EOU was invaluable to helping me get my Bachelor's degree. The English department and its faculty rank at the highest level in my opinion. despite being a distance-ed student, I felt like I was able to form a relationship with each of my instructors that fostered a productive learning environment. I was the first online student to recieve the oustanding senior award in English at EOU; an achievement that was gained because of the faculty and their willingness to reach beyond the computer screen to get to know their students."

"I am an online student and graduate this Spring 2018. My experience as an online student has been truly amazing. All of my instructors have been helpful when I had questions and encouraging toward me. My initial advisor did an amazing job staying on top of things for me until I got up to speed. The Canvas dashboard is easy to use and navigate when taking courses. The staff in the admissions, registers office, tech support, professor get a A+++. EOU is very affordable, I plan on getting my Masters as well. They could add more Graduate Programs in my opinion."

"I had a hard time with my advisor. I was completely online and when I would ask for help I was given wrong information and come to the end of my degree I was forced out of the school because I had too many credits. The final term I was accused of plagiarizing myself by a professor who had approved my proposal of writing my paper for two different classes covering the same subject. It was not till the end of the term when she failed me and turned me in for plagiarizing. When I brought it up with my advisor they did nothing to help me."

"Eastern Oregon University is located in La Grande, Oregon. It has a small town feel with lots of outdoor recreational opportunities to engage in. All the professors were easy to talk to, very helpful and took pride in their work. I would recommend EOU for anyone who wants to feel safe, be within walking distance to most places and interact with the locals. The campus is nice, the people are nice and most seem to feel right at home. EOU is for anyone who wants to be at a university and enjoy a small community. The town is surrounded by mountains with rivers and hiking trails. EOU IS FOR YOU!"

"I was a transfer student to EOU with numerous credits from other institutions but no degree finished from any of them. I was living in rural NE Oregon and needed a distance program to complete my bachelors to be eligible to apply for jobs in the Fish and Wildlife area. Eastern was the most affordable distance program and also allowed me to take Oregon State University's Fish and Wildlife curriculum through them. I was able to complete my degree mostly online and this allowed me to pursue a career in Wildlife biology. I did have to spend 1 quarter on-campus, but this worked out quite well and I enjoyed it quite a bit."

"EOU is a school for the adventurer, the student who views the outdoors as a source of entertainment and intrigue. The setting is fantastic in a bowl shaped valley with gorgeous views and a laid back small town atmosphere that instantly puts a person at ease."

"The program is in its beginning stages but is unique in that it will open up change in all its participants. I look forward to learning all I can from the continued involvement in the program. It is one thing to dream, but to have others read and respond to your dreaming is exciting. Creative writing opens up the possibility of new imaginary realms in which to explore as well and gives a voice to what has been silent or overlooked. This program is a combination of online and residency. The good thing is that it draws on students from far-flung distances. Some drawbacks could be that it is still in its formative stages but this is a very exciting thing, too."

"The cons of EOU's online master's program are that I have felt on my own to figure out what I need to do and how to go about doing it. Getting started was a little rough and I had a hard time getting answers. The pros are that the instructors are caring and knowledgeable. If you are a self starter and can persevere, it is a good program."

"The pros of this program include the small size of the cohort, the quality of the professors, and the network to get jobs for graduates. The cons include the college being in a small town away from everything."

"I am taking online courses through Eastern Oregon University, so unfortunately I am unable to answer all of the categories. My experience from the online program has been wonderful! Every instructor and/advisor has been beyond helpful during my online process. I highly recommend this program!"

"The MBA Program at Eastern Oregon University is designed for students who wish to earn their MBA but have other life commitments. Classes are offered one night per week, and the program is flexible in that students can attend full or part time. Instructors are personable and helpful. Class sizes are small, and the interaction between students adds a lot to the program."
