"Other - Optometry. Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University is the only optometry school in the state and has a phenomenal reputation. The facilities and the available technology is state of the art and unparalleled. The faculty to student ratio is 1:2, which is incredible in such an intense program. It's very competitive yet the environment is conducive to teamwork and support. Now in my 4th semester of a 10 semester graduate program, I am completely satisfied in my experience at MCO and would encourage any student in the Midwest and beyond to come visit the school of they have an interest in optometry or healthcare in general."

"I actually attended optometry school at Ferris, although optometry wasn't an option from the dropdown menu. I feel Ferris (Michigan college of Optometry) gave me a world class education, while being in a smaller atmosphere where I wasn't just a number. The professors went out of their way to help students, and I felt prepared for any job."

"Pros: Very personable atmosphere where you get the education that you desire. Professors have a strong desire for you to succeed. Cons: Small town prevents social enjoyment to be expanded. Some professors are less than adequate."

"I am in the Pharmacy program at Ferris State University. Some of the pros include the faculty in the pharmacy program. They support you and give help wherever is needed. Another pro is the student body. The students are very united and help each other as well. A con is that the city of Big Rapids is very small and there is not very much to do in your free time."
