"I am one class away from graduating with an MS in Information Technology. As with any school, there are some very good instructors and some that are not as good. For the most part, my instructors have been top notch - very quick to respond to questions, and engage with the students effectively. The video lectures which accompany the courses are available either online, or on VCD (included with the textbooks) so it is very convenient. The lectures cover the most important aspects of each class, but you must also read the books to get the full benefit. I found the message board and chat room interactions to be quite satisfying, and even though I have never met any of my classmates in person, I have formed some good friendships. As with anything, the value of the degree is directly related to the amount of work that is put in. I will be very proud to get my degree, and I would recommend the program without hesitation. As for the reviewer with an objection to using turnitin.com, I would hope that most would see the value of making sure that his or her words are not plagarised."

"I am three classes away from finishing my MBA degree. I can tell you that I worked for it. It is not an easy school, but I do not think it should be. The MBA program should be challenging and that is exactly what it is. I am glad that I selected this school. You get out what you put in. If you study and put in the time, you will learn. Some professors are more engaging than others; however, I never had a professor not respond. I had some that even held conference calls to make sure that the class was understanding the course and to answer any questions. I am glad that I am almost done. It will be good to have my weekends back. I spend approximately 16 to 20 hours a week working on school work. Also, this school has a great on-line library. You can access a lot of information and you can obtain help if needed. If you are looking for an easy MBA program, this is not it."

"I am in my 2nd semester of pursuing an Accounting degree undergraduate with this school. I have had an overall positive experience. My advisor truly works closely with me and is there when I need her. I have read that others had bad experience, I guess its just the luck of the draw. For me, however, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. As far as my experience goes, I have had no problems and everything has gone amazingly smooth. I love the courses, the lectures, the class setup and especially the study aids they give along with the books. Books may be expensive as most are, but they come with great study aids that have been essential to me. Example: in Biology class my new book came with an online login that totally prepared me for every test by giving me tests, interactive activities, etc. All of my professors have been knowledgable and responsive. I hate to sound like an informercial, but I really have had a great experience so far. Dont be afraid to try this school. Its a good accredited school with a solid reputation."

"I am in my second year of my MBA. Granted it is expensive, but it will be worth it in the end. I didn't want a five thousand dollar degree. The work is extensive but it is an MBA. I have had a great experience with the school, receiving books and most of the professors. All work is sent to turnitin.com because it is too easy to have students buy essays or papers or just cut a paste paragraphs from the internet. Only go here if you truly want to learn, if you just want the piece of paper then go to a degree mill and buy one. You get what you pay for. I highly recommend FIT for those who want to learn something."

"I am currently enrolled in the MBA program at Florida Tech Online. I have finished 3 courses and am on my fourth course. Is it very easy? No. They have assignments and discussion assignments as well as exams and research papers. There is some work involved. How is the teaching? bad. There is not much communication with the professors. They dont regularly respond to your questions and the text books are your only primary source of learning. If you need to know more you have to go online and search for information on the internet. The lectures are like 5 minutes long. So you dont get much from the lectures. The text books for their first 2 courses were very good and thorough though the text books they have used for the following courses have lot of errors. Since the text books are your primary source of learning it creates a problem when they are lacking. The first 2 courses: Essentials of Business 1 and 2 give you alot of information and you learn alot from the readings. Here is the question I want to pose to you. Are you willing to pay 2500 dollars for a text book. Thats primarily what you get. They dont make it easy for you to pass though. You have to go through all the exams and assignments. What you get for 2500 dollars. Text book and assigned reading. Assignments and exams and other material you have to complete. 5 Minute Lectures. Occasional answers from professors and some feed back from professors though this varies from professor to professor. The first 2 courses in the program the professors are more involved and will give you a lot more feed back. This is the situation so far. I dont know how it will progress as the program continues."

"Florida Tech describes itself as a military friendly school but they are NOT!!! I had a math class were you were just redirected to another site. The teacher assigned over 200 questions (most questions consisted of several questions)for HW each week. You would have to spend at least 20 hours a week to complete the HW assignments. Also the test were grated by the computer so if for example your answer was .5 and you wrote 1/2 it was wrong regardless of it being the same answer at the end of the day. The teacher was horrible, NO help what so ever. At the end I miss the C by one point. Tried a grade dispute... NOTHING. Tried to talk to someone higher NOTHING. They ended up telling me that it is a high failure rate course and I should take it in PERSON. I am in the military!!! I chose an online school so I could go to school online!!! This is a horrible place when they just set you up for failure!!! Mike"

"I'm not sure what the undergrad program is like, but I'm extremely happy with FIT for the MBA program I'm currently enrolled in. I'm learning a whole lot very quickly, and my professor seems knowledgeable and is extremely responsive. It is a lot of work but you should expect that from a graduate program. Don't into it thinking it will be an "easy" degree.I feel sorry for those that had bad experience, but I have to disagree with them. I did my undergrad at University of Michigan so I feel I have a good benchmark for what a good school is. It's a good MBA program that won't send me into ridiculous debt like a tier 1 school would. At this point in my career the $100K cost for an MBA from a tier 1 school wouldn't benefit me like it would have 6-7 yrs ago. Just something to consider as you look for programs. FIT is a great value - good education from a respected online program at a very reasonable cost.My financial aid experience has been good as well. Very efficient & timely."

"I am currently enrolled in the Masters program for Information Systems and will graduate this Spring. I have found my entire experience with Florida Institute of Technology and the University Alliance to be very positive. You are expected to put forth effort, but I believe that anyone in any Graduate degree program should expect to put forth effort. I am surprised by the reviewers who are upset by requirements of submitting their work into a plagiarism tool. If you did not plagairize you need not be concerned. I recommend FIT to anyone who is truly wanting an education and is willing to work for it!"

"I am currently enrolled in a masters programs at FIT and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The course load can be challenging, but the instructors, that I have had, have been quite helpful and accommodating.Thankfully, I have not dealt with the issues that my fellow reviewers have experienced. I hope they seek and obtain a resolution to their problems. The admissions and enrollment counselors have gone above and beyond my expectations as well. They may want to start there."

"Tammy probably get paid by University Alliance. The instructor I'm having here, is incompetent. He has a Ph.D. but on a different subject(discipline), that is not related with the class he's teaching (e.g. PhD in geography, teaching IT security). Instructor knows no better than the online students, based on very poor(lack) of communication. When students ask further questions about the subject, normally it's ignored, until another week passed by, and forgotten. Not much activity in this class. Out of 8 classes I took, only 2 instructors match the videos. If you don't like this education, you have the option to be kicked out, right in the middle of degree. The classes are not transferrable to other universities as no one would take it. I'm victimized."
