"So. I absolutely enjoyed every minute of attending this school. You never know how you could accomplish something until you have the support you need from staff at your school. They give you so many opportunities, chances, & most of all recognition to make sure you get the help you need to make it."

"I love Fortis College, I really learned a lot, i returning for my Associates Degree in Healthcare Management. I had some great instructors who taught and made sure that I was confident and ready for the real world. Excellent Career Development Staff that also go beyond the call of duty."

"This school is like two monkeys playing football. No one knows what they are doing. Always arguing over lack of supplies. Instructors berating students. The teachers expect us as students to be professional yet they have no clue what that word means. Save your money NEVER ATTEND FORTIS COLLEGE IT'S A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY."

"I am currently a student at Fortis College. Fortis of Montgomery is everything but professional. Our instructor (Mrs.Patterson) doesn't even know what she is talking about, and pronounces all of the medical terminology wrong. She talks about students when they aren't even present, which I find extremely unprofessional. She is also very drama oriented. She is inappropriate and laughs when someone asks a "stupid question". Fortis is not accredited, they are a for profit only school. You will not be able to transfer any "credits". We are constantly getting asked to recommend others to the program, and it all feels very much like a scam. When we are done with any class work, we just sit there until we are to be dismissed while our instructor plays on her phone. It is all just a huge joke. DO NOT attend Fortis, it isn't even a real school and it's just a waste of time and money that you could be spending at a real college."

I'm sorry to hear about the experience as it is certainly not reflective of the quality of education we provide to our students. As the Vice President of Education, I'd like to thank you for bringing this to our attention so we may examine this more carefully and follow up appropriately.

I also wanted to follow up on two additional areas:

- First, FORTIS College Montgomery is institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). This is a recognized accrediting agency that requires certain levels of performance in order to make sure students are learning, receiving the right support, graduating and finding jobs in their field of study.

- Second, the decision regarding transferability of credits is always at the discretion of the receiving school (or where you may transfer to) so there may be variability in the acceptance of credit.

In relation to the other comment about challenges in finding employment, I'd invite your daughter to reach back out to the career services department at the college so we can explore getting her career on track. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss either of these situations further in order for us to ensure a quality experience. Please feel free to contact me at egoodman@edaff.com and I look forward to visiting with you.

"I would NOT recommend this school. They did not help me find a job, even after I was on unemployment and needed help. And I had 15 years of Medical Office experience. I have a school loan to pay back.. for the rest of my life, without a job in Medical Billing... and I am certified. IT's a joke. They need to refund your money."
