"Fortis Nashville is a great school with instructors that care about their students. I graduated in 2021 with my ADN and will soon be graduating with my MSN-FNP. I had no issues while attending Fortis Nashville and give 10/10 stars! I was older working adult when attending Fortis and was able to balance work and classes until the last 3 months of the program. I passed the NCLEX-RN the first try and I give all the praise to Fortis and their wonderful staff."

"The Baton Rouge campus is horrible. Unprofessional administration all the way up to the president, who has implemented ridiculous rules like nothing in the classroom to drink but water even though we have a coffee station and a vending machine. We can't leave the campus to go get food and we can also not eat in the classrooms but they give us 10 minute breaksevry hour. We don't have any reagents in the lab half of our equipment is broke including the microscopes we don't have enough microscopes even for half the class to go in the lab at once. Meanwhile they're spending money painting the walls cleaning the floors and buying barbecue grills instead of putting money back into the program. 0 out of 10 I don't recommend. I expected more for $43000. We didn't have any teacher for a week and still don't have enough."

"Thank goodness I have finished this program. This school has gone completely downhill since Dean Karen has taken over. Every single professor has quit. There are now a lack of educators, lack of proper clinical sites (lost clinical sites and now placed in nursing homes), and lack of professionalism. Will NEVER recommend anyone waste their money here until major changes have been made."

"This school has helped change my life. I was able to relearn what I already knew and more. The hands on work helped a lot. Ms. Moxley, Ms. Nunn, and Mrs. Campbell ( when she was there) were the best instructors. Mr. Spradlin made sure we stayed up on our on campus work and Ms. Bowman made sure we stayed up on our online work, and she also made sure we were connected in school with activities. I would recommend Fortis Institute North Campus to anybody"

"I am genuinely satisfied with my decision to pursue a career in Sterile Processing Technology. Throughout my time in the program, I received consistent support and guidance, which made a significant difference in my overall experience. My instructor and career advisor were instrumental in my success; they were always approachable, knowledgeable, and readily available to answer any questions I had. Their dedication and encouragement not only enhanced my learning but also reinforced my confidence in choosing this career path. Thanks to their support, I feel well-prepared to enter the workforce and contribute meaningfully to the healthcare field."

"I got the support I needed from the Columbus, Ohio campus to be successful. The instructors are very helpful and wants everyone to succeed. I passed the boards with the minimum 85 questions. Dr. Kay, Prof. Sheppard, Dean Smallenbarger just to name a few. Thank everyone at Fortis!!!"

"Fortis college in Smyrna. At first I really liked the school because it’s hands on but as I got closer to finishing, I realized the school is actually a joke. The program director has a bad attitude and got irritated when we had questions. She grades unfairly, which means if we uploaded two assignments in one slot (like we were instructed) we would only get half credit because she didn’t see the other one. This ruined my chances to be on the honor roll, it was very upsetting. To add to that, she was barely ever in class (we had her as our teacher our senior mod) and it put us behind on labs which we would get docked for if not all completed in class. Off note, my admissions advisor met with me one time, and never talked to me after that when I started the program which was 6 months on campus. They just try to get you in there so they can get paid and after that they don’t care what happens to you."

"I was mislead by administration that i would be receiving what is left from my pell grant to me amd my direct loan i would receive. In actuality i recieved $84 dollars out of $4000 dollars. Very dissatisfied one how ive been taken Advantage of when all i wanted was an education. I really made a terrible choice by leaving Pensacola state college to be taken advantage of."

"I’m only in my second module at this school but so far it has been quite the experience. I definitely feel like there are great instructors and people here, you just have to find your way to navigate to them and your studying style. I’m quite excited to get further into my education here so I can feel more confident in my dental abilities."

"As a 2 time Fortis Grad, I would recommend their nursing program! I was hired right after graduation! I would take a Fortis student any day to work along side of me. The attention and assistance from the professors is amazing! When looking at different colleges Fortis should be top of the list!"

"I came to the Fortis Pensacola campus to bridge from my Lpn to Rn and started off very strong making amazing grades. I kept to myself and was just there to learn as much as I could. Well that was until the third semester. I started my clinicals and in the process almost lost my house because I was dedicating all of my time to school. I eventually had to drop because I had to take care of my household first and trying to re-enter this program has been a complete nightmare. Like they literally won't let you back in if you have to take a step back and readjust your life that way the remainder of your school career can be successful. This school is for single people with no kids, or married people with another person to back up their finances. If you do have kids you need to have a financial support team because if your a single mom like me with no other means of support besides people saying "You can do it" then I would suggest you to find somewhere else to go. They said I could not come back because my attendance in my first 2 weeks of class. I assume they were talking about my maternity class in which it was online and I didn't realize that for this term we actually met via zoom (my last two semester online classes we didn't) so I missed the first two weeks. Cleared that up with my teacher and turned a "D" into an "A" by the third week. So my drive and determination was there. This school just doesn't understand that life happens and allow second chances. They also said that I was denied because I missed clinical days. I did, and that was because when I went to clinicals, I was sent home because I didn't have all the necessary paperwork. Mind you before clinicals started I asked the clinical director if I had all the necessary paperwork and was told yes. So for the next week making last minute appointments to get what was needed I missed even more clinical days. Once all was well I almost took a loan out just too make up the missed days and I'm so glad that I didn't. Once I left the program I was able to regroup, catch my life up, take a breath, find a better job that was more flexible, create a savings account so that I then had money for my bills when clinicals restarted and with them knowing all of this they still denied me. I would've had 9 months left till graduation and they took that from me. Are taking that from me. That's ok. I've been an Lpn for 11 years so what's one more and now I can use this next year to save even more and try again else where. They only added fuel to my fire and if its one thing I love to do is prove people wrong. I will prove this school wrong for everything they thought/are thinking about me and continue to show my kids what drive and determination looks like. I will show my kids that when you want something if you work for it you can have it and it is attainable no matter what stones may be thrown at you in the process. I hope that in the future this school becomes more open to people in positions like myself who are literally coming to this school to make an even better life for themselves."

"Not only are the instructors not great, I as a student have had to teach instructors about basic nursing knowledge and skills. To add, I was declined multiple nursing internships because the school does not have CCNE or ACEN accreditation which many hospitals require. Go to a real college and become a real nurse."

"Fortis college in cuyahoga falls is a joke! How their instructors teach is like they pulled them off the streets. They make me feel like I’m not good enough. You can complain about any concerns and nothing gets done about it. I wouldn’t not encourage anyone to attend this college. It is not worth it! My mentality has changed so much where I feel so down about myself and they do not care. The instructors have no idea what they are doing and you will teach yourself the whole way through. Last semester I had an instructor who quit last minute and caused us to not have an instructor where we sat in a classroom for hours with no lecture or anything. We were supposed to have clinicals that same semester and kept canceling because we didn’t have instructor. We don’t get the hands on we need. We don’t get the proper education we need to take care of people as nurses. I know I will be a great nurse but if I was going into a hospital and my nurse told me she went to fortis college I will ask for a different nurse or go somewhere else. Horrible school! I don’t know how they still have their doors open!"

"This school is incredibly unprofessional and disorganized. Their schedule is anything but concrete, with changes occurring practically overnight. Balancing full-time work with attending classes here is nearly impossible due to their frequent and unpredictable schedule shifts. My experience with the staff, teachers, Dean, and assistant Dean has been overwhelmingly negative. Despite promising exceptional support initially, once enrolled, you're left to fend for yourself. Don't expect any assistance from them; however, be prepared for them to scrutinize any mistakes you make harshly. If it were possible, I'd give this school zero stars. I strongly urge others to avoid making the same mistake I did by enrolling here."

"Fortis College has significantly helped me work towards my career!! The staff is incredibly dedicated and works hard to fix any problems and make this program the best possible. The instructors don't just teach students, they go above and beyond to provide support. Prior to even starting the program, we had financial aid meetings, which made it incredibly easy to apply for the necessary aids. I left that meeting with no questions, and really appreciated the organization and structure dedicated to making it easier on students. I was nervous because while I have another degree, and a military background, this was my first time going through an admissions process alone. Communication could not have been clearer, and the staff really helped to lower any stress I had with the process. I would recommend this school to others because everyone works together to help the students pass and graduate with all of the necessary knowledge to be successful. Whenever problems arise, I have learned I do not need to worry because the Fortis staff is sure to figure it out!"

"Anywhere you go you will have issues however, this school is very expensive and if you are in the nursing program, you are going to teach yourself more than you will be taught. You will also be expected to already know everything about nursing when you get to your last term. If it is not taught due to staff, that is still on you. If you do not know things, you will be talked down to. Treatment is dependent on who you are and no matter how many times you voice your concerns, you are ignored. You can pass all of your classes and make great grades but when you get to the end if you fail the check off, that is unrealistic and almost impossible to pass, you will have to pay to take the whole class, lab and sim over again. Sim is supposed to be a resource but this school makes it a requirement and you pay for it but can't give you the hours for you to learn what they expect you to know. If you have a job, kids, spouse, or family, I would not recommend attending here. They say it is for working adults, but that is not true. Some instructors will even tell you that if you work, you will struggle and may not pass."

"First of all, I'd like to say, "I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SCHOOL"!!!!! Is it hard? YES? Anything worth getting in Life is hard. My Professor is the Best! I HATED Science prior to this school, Now It's fun, and I enjoy learning it. I am a 20 year LPN and School is that much harder for me. Since I've been here life has been life, but with the support I've received from each and every staff member I know I'm in the right Place. Although Financial aid was a little struggle for me, and I didn't qualify for a lot due to having my Bachelor's, but they Still worked with me. Yes they do remind you when your payment is due, but it's not like You weren't aware (I was praying for a miracle), LOL! God made a way. I always believe that if there was 1 who did it, that means it's doable, so I await my turn. Each and Everything I learn, helps me in my career now in becoming a better LPN. For example, Auscultating BS starting in the RLQ because sounds are...(Professor A). From a new found love for Peppermints, to the Amoeba Sisters, the Hugs, the push, the bags of candy when I need it, The Pictures on the wall as a constant reminder of What I have to look forward to, and last Dean Fox, and President Myvett the absolute Best. I'm so Grateful for the opportunity to be here."

"Only concerned about the money. Administrative staff is a joke. Many better and cheaper nursing schools in Columbus. Thoroughly check out everything about the school including RN pass rate and if school is fully accreditated. Waste of time and money."
