"The instructors at Fortis College, Indianapolis are the best! They not only provide skilled knowledge and experiences but care for each student as individuals. I obtain my diploma in Pharmacy Technician. My recommendation is YES! This is it!"

"Horrible, every part of this experience was horrible. I had one great English teacher, she was amazing. Other than that, this was the worst experience of my life. I can't believe this campus hasn't closed down by now (Indianapolis)."

"It's 2013 and I am still looking for a job in HVACR. Employers are not hiring me, I've applied myself daily since 2011, Fortis has even stopped helping me look for a job. Don't go for the HCACR program, employers don't want a diploma they want a degree."

"So as I am reading all of these reviews I'm finding it quite amusing! First of all I recieved my LPN from Fortis and am currently wrapping up my RN. Yes it is expensive and can be a pain to deal with but my best piece of advice is this...before Fortis I went to a "real college" as some like to say and you know what I got from them? $25000 in tuition paid and no degree. Fortis you have a grad date the moment you enroll. Also for those who are saying the education was awful....I got offered a nurse manager job two months after I sat for my boards. I am also scoring much better on tests and HESIs than the other students who did not attend LPN school at Fortis. They're strict but efficient. So if you are SERIOUS about nursing and can stand the hell of nursing school and the stress it comes with....Fortis really isn't a bad place to be."

"This school is definitely a joke. Fortis College is not for the students. Oh yeah they want you to belive that when there trying to get you enrolled. Once you become a student it's totally different. You get charged for books over and over again. Not to mention that these books cost twice the amount that you will pay on line or in a book store. The teachers there are a joke. I've never been to a school where most of the dental assistant teachers do nothing for the two hours your in the class but talk to students who aren't even in your class, If your in the lab you get a little hands on but not much. Time is wasted by all the talking that goes on in the class which would be awesome if all the talking was about dental. Your given a syllabus and you do the chapters on the syllabus never do you go over your work or talk about the chapter you just turn in your work at the end of the semester. There's so much talking that your only giving 2 of the chapters to do in 5 weeks. The last week of the semester then thats when teachers give you all this work to be finished by the end of the week because they have bullshited for 5 weeks and realize that they have to show some work has been done. So they pile all the rest of the chapters left on the syllabus and what ever handouts they might have and want it done in 2 days.Like I say these teachers are a joke. Then to top it off you given 1 graduation date and because there not enough teachers you never get the classes you need for instance you'll get a 213 class before you get a 105 now your taking a review class before you actually take the class.. Unbeliveable there are students that have been given 1 class prer semester because not enough teachers, and guess what that pushs back there graduation date. When I tell you this school sucks beleive me don't waste your money. I wish someone would have told me before I enrolled.Run as far as you can stay away from this school. I got half an education but I paid 26,000 ... Go figure Run as fast as you can FORTIS COLLEGE is the worst college in Atlanta.."

"I have had no problems with Fortis College. I graduated and passed nclex r.n. on my first try. financial services with Fortis College were awesome. I had no issues with them either. the majority of my teachers were pretty awesome as well. a lot of teachers quit this school during my time there, but I do believe it was mostly because of the student body. from what I have noticed most students who complain about the program are student who are failing due to their own faults and lack of determination. It is such a shame to see all the negative comments about Fortis College. NOT ALL OF THEM ARE THE SAME. Future student please be aware you get what you put into school! go to school, give it your all, study hard and you will come out on top!! I had no SERIOUS issues with Fortis College."

"I have a few positive things to say about this school, but to be honest I have more negative thoughts than positive. I just finished up my dental assisting program two months ago and I'm happy to be done. Be very very aware when going to "tour the school" or "talk to someone" about a program. They will suck you in and pressure you to sign up that very day without even thinking it through. They suckered me in. After that, applying to this school was a living NIGHTMARE! It took weeks and weeks for simple paperwork to go through. I probably went to the school about a dozen times before I finally was enrolled. Same goes for when it's time to graduate. Part of the problem is that the staff is never there and it's almost impossible to contact the person you need. As far as my education goes, I say it was average. I learned some interesting and important things for my career (dental assisting) but I feel like I could have learned more. My teachers were pretty good but some of the staff there had a real attitude problem. Teachers and administrators quit and were fired all the time. No consistency. The students on the other hand made the cast of Jersey Shore look tame. Fights, screaming matches, and just plain rudeness were daily occurrences. Externship was the LONGEST 12 WEEKS OF MY LIFE!! The sites they send you to are places they scraped together at the last minute because the offices had no clue on how to train a student. The offices wanted free labor, not time to train a student. The thing that irritated me the most was the lying. Us dental assistants were told that we would graduate making $16 an hour. Every interview I've been to (as well as other students have told me)offers $10 to $11. Oh yeah, they made it seem like there are so many jobs available in our field. Newsflash, there are very few. I could have made that without spending $20,000 for my education. This school does not have the best reputation with employers. Moral of the story, go to community college and earn yourself a real degree."

"I have been attending this school for 6 months. I recently withdrew. I have always made excellent grades (Bachelors degree in Biology 3.9 GPA from REAL COLLEGE) This school is absurd. The instructors for the nursing program are all over the place. The SIM lab teacher is teaching material that was on the syllabus 2 weeks ago and he is testing on material we haven't covered. No point in discussing this with the DON or the President of the school because they don't care. We have taken a petition about these instructors and all we are told is that it is not the instructors it is the students and if we can't handle the nursing program then drop out. What kind of instructors or school President says that! Not all of us are wrong. This is why the NCLEX pass rate is below standard and we have heard the nursing program is on probation now. 48,000 for this degree and no one in the school cares if we pass or not. Please save your money and go to a college who supports education and strives for their students to pass the NCLEX. Don't be fooled by any of the enrollment counselors. Speak with some of the students. Look around, the halls are bare. So many of us are withdrawing and going to other schools because this is our career and we want to be trained properly. Would you want a nurse taking care of you or a loved one who struggled to pass their state test? Not me. Many of us later found out that they are not eligible for NLNAC which greatly reduces your chances of working at many of the larger hospitals in the area. Bay Care, ACH, Bayfront, etc... won't even hire Fortis Grads. I should have done my homework better before enrolling in this school. You should too. DON'T DO IT"

"What a joke! 100% UNPROFESSIONAL!!! For 60K wait to get into a community college, plus you'll have a better educational experience! All they offer are pompous attitudes! I thought DH school was suppose to be hard because of the info not the petty high school mentality of the professors, students and rest of the faculty!"

"No school is perfect! The only problems I had was with the students. The school is ok you just have to apply yourself and be determined. I hate that so many student bad mouth the school when the problem is the student him or herself. Fortis is better than a lot of schools that I hear people talk about. We had so many reference book, cds and online access for extra learning. I was very prepared for the NCLEX. I passed the first time."

"I studied hard but still averaged a C/B grade. They tell you how you will be successful and they are interested in your outcome. Unfortunately they are only interested in your money and not you as a student. I would never recommend this school to anyone. I would suggest you goto a school with a good background check... Not Fortis!!! After I was a student and met other students no one seems to like this school. They are only out for money not your education."

"This school is a joke. I would never attend it. The students are nothing but drama, it's like high school all over again. Sad part is these are our future nurses who will never be able to work in a hospital. They try to tell you what career path to take to lead you in the wrong direction due to the fact they think they know more about you from a 30 min. Interview. Half the people that attended this school can't write a proper sentence to save their lives. Their spelling is similar to a 3rd grader. Now let's talk money, you will pay double the amount to attend this school and the credits won't transfer to another college if you want to further you're career."

"Fortis College in GA is really good. Our medical assisting classes are taught by medical doctors, whom were medical assistants themselves. They have a A+ rating with BBB. The staff really care abd push you to succeed. My complaint is the lack of finanicial resources available to students. I also wouldn't recommend this school to anyone who wants to transfer credits. It is a school that helps you get in and out as soon as possible so you can get a job. This is why I joined the school so it works for me!"

"In June 2011, I was laid off and decided to further my education. Went to Fortis college, my biggest regret, and at the beginning every one its friendly. At first thought it was a great school, boy was I wrong. The school is overpriced, the staff are rude and very unprofessional. One of teacher, had the nerve to confront me about what I said to the program director.REALLY! I been failing in her class. The teacher couldn't show my work to the program director. Still this day couldn't anyone explained why I failed only in her classes. Was given bad advise by staff. I was 3 months when I started the program. In my six months, I was having 12 contractions in a hour. I was order to be on bed rest. Had a week left before the term ended. Asked about taking my final, I was advise to wait until a certain day. Went to school that day, teacher stated that I couldn't take my final b/c the end of term was the day before. So I didn't take my final b/c the teacher told me to come a day after the term ended. Had my baby in December school expects me to come back the first week in January had three classes.Went to program director to dropped a class. Program director advise for me not to attend class b/c it I dropped one class it would mess with my financial aid. If I don't attend its going to mess with my financial aid too. Ended up failing class had no chose. Fortis college have the highest retention rate. I would NEVER recommend fortis to anyone not even my enemies. I had one class left before my externship I was dropped from school. The reason I have past the allotted time to complete my course and by me having a baby and was on bed rest had played a part in it.I can't beleive that B@@ch said that to me. How dare you blame my pregnancy! I had took out 10 thousand in loans and don't have a degree to show and when I was dropped the loan was sent back so now I owe the school $1500. Wow!! Fortis College should be CLOSED!!"
