"This is my second review i am writing of fortis college COLUMBUS OHIO CAMPUS ONLY!!!!! listen people you get out what you out in as a student!!!I put in 100% of y effort and i am bringing in 2 A's and a B this semester....last semester i had all A's.... IF U TRULY WANT TO BETTER YOUR EDUCATION AND CAN IGNORE THE NEGATIVITY AND DISCOURAGING ATTITUDES OF OTHER STUDENTS THEN I ADVISE ANYONE NOT TO ENROLL IN ANY SCHOOL!!!make shure u have ur ducks in a row in ur personal life and you should be able to succceed. of course with life comes barriers and obstacles we must overcome.....in order to be successful!!! it is only the strong willed and determined that will make i thru!!!As far as fortis college columbus campus only...yea i totally give my approval rating to anyone that decides to go to this school.....keep a positive attitude study hard and u shall succeed. the instructors are knowledgable and are always willing to help out....admissions department was great.... i have not utilized career services so i cannot give my opinion regarding them.Class work is not easy but then again is not supposed to be is is supposed to make u study..... nursing administration is great. the d.o.n. is awesome. and all other ancillary staff has been excellent as well. i do not particularly care for one person on the nursing staff..but thats my OPINION there are alot of other students that do care for her and like her alot. the school is clean and neat as well.Fortis college columbus has definitely impressed me!! i read all the bad reviews and still choose to enroll and my outlook has been excellent!!! as well as my experience. im soooooo glad i did not let negativity deter me away from my goal!!!!To everyone out there that has had a terrible experience with ANY fortis college in ANY city other then COLUMBUS OHIO CAMPUS come to columbus ohio campus and u will be very pleased!!"

"Oh and to add to my review if yiu have kids and have to miss days because they are sick the school will automatically fail you. It has happened to me and I had to repay out of my pocket and take all 3 classes over again. It is total bull that every 6 weeks you are only allow to mis 4 days so if your kid has like pneumonia or had to get mri's of his brain like mine did they do not care!!! Automatic fail"

"Ok This school sucks, a big scam not only only do you pull out a loan to pay the 15,000 dollars and a pell grant which by the way they take all your pell grant. You also have to pay from like 50-90 dollars out of pocket every 6 weeks when a new mod starts which is STUPID!!! I went to the one in Pensacola, yes a few teachers were nice , and helpful , but the career service she does not get back to you when you call or leave voice mail, and when you email her she is a bitch saying she won't talk over the phone. I am glad I am done with this school. I still have not heard back from her to re take my ncct test I have called and called and left voicemails for about a month now. Truth this school is a scam. I wished I would have just went to a normal college where credits transfer to get my associates degree in this instead."

"I'm currently finishing up the pharm tech program here, and overall I'm very disappointed. Over half the things they said we would be doing in the admissions tour never happened. The curriculum calls for a good ammount of hands on experience that we never ever saw. I feel totally ripped off after the outrageous tuition (over 15k) and all we ever did was read out of a book and handouts. Not to mention the drama and in fighting among teachers and students is unlike anything I've ever seen. Only reason this might help is to get basic knowledge of the field and it's requirements for licensing etc."

"I know that you have to take some bad with the good. But when your DON is Bad what can you do. Fortis in Norfolk has such a high turnover with teachers its not good for the students. Whats worse is a teacher who can't teach and doesn't care to teach. You know at most schools when you fail a course you have the opportunity to repeat, well at Fortis this is not the case. If you fail two classes you will be dismissed from the program. I knew a girl who was pregnant who didn't do well in Maternity or Peds and she was dismissed from the program. Thats only because the DON decided to make them two separate classes instead of one class with two parts like it was years before. The teachers for these classes were HORRIBLE! The President of the school will do nothing for you. Then they tell you that they are accredited by the NLNAC. They are not accredited by them at all. I'm just glad I made it through with the help of the teachers that left the school but still took time because they cared about helping me learn."

"Hi! I am enrolled in their LVN program at Fortis College. As a former student from other colleges you get what you put into it. Yes they have very low entrance requirements. Yes majority of their student population is Nigerian. But at the end of the day I am sweating and studying. I am maintaining a good grade "B" but I am sweating. Do your research before coming here. I did. Before my classes started I came up here frequently. I also looked at their curriculum that they offer for the LVN. I started to study Anatomy on my own before classes started for me. If this is new stuff to you and you have no previous experience yes its going to be HARD! About financial aid so far I have not been over charged. Make sure you read what you are signing. I also got help from work source, but this is a PRIVATE COLLEGE, so obviously the tuition is HIGH! And you have to be able to study. If your the one to goof off or your coming here in the LVN program thinking its "high school" its not. The instructors don't have time for that. There is a test twice a week in every Five week module. So you must "STUDY"!!!I got tutoring when I needed it. As a older student coming back...I am working extra hard:)"

"I got kicked out of school the first week of my internship. Fortis college is the kind of school where you keep your head down and never say a word or miss a day of class. The nursing side of the school I attended was very good, but everything else they offered suffered greatly. The H-vac staff are all recovering alcoholics, the majority of the teachers work all day then come to school to teach a 4 to 6 hour class. I never received my books on time when I started a new quarter. The school could not keep a Health Information Adviser on staff, and had a very hard time keeping quality teachers, instead you get anything walking off the street willing to teach. If you decide to take out students loans with this school I warn you now be careful, your money will always be late, none of the paper work they give you matters all the dates and amounts will be wrong anyway. The school looks for any loop holes in your grant money, if they can do something to make more money out of you they will. The school refuses to give the janitor proper cleaning materials, the entire time there a mop was never used to clean the floor, there were times leaving school, I felt dirty and would come home and take another shower, even though I showered before I left for class. I warn anyone trying or even considering attending Fortis College DONT! I am in debt without a degree and nothing to show for it. It was all a nightmare from day one!!"

"Fortis College isnt a good school to go to for ANYTHING ecspecially NURSING.they will give you a tour of the school showing you nothing.the teachers arent there for you when you need them you basically have to work around there time and if you have a job or children you can forget about it!! they dont restock or order new supplies for the students to learn anything you basically share or watch the instructor do a demo.SAD!try practicing how to put on sterile gloves with gloves out the box!!!Even though you mite recieve financial aid and there getting money regardless they will email you and tell you not show up to class for $1,they came up with a dumb rule about not counting your homework unless your passing your test and quizzes (there the only ones who that)i figure your work is your work and we work VERY HARD ON EVERYTHING and spend alot of time doing it.signing up for fortis is a gimic and the whole you can fail one class and after that they drop you from the program and send you on your way so you have to spend even more money to find another school to go to and they dont transfer your credits. so the NURSING program basically sets you up for failure. # of students in the beginning 23,# of students moving on to the next semester 9,# of students to graduate 2!!!! REALLY. if you do sign up to experience it withdraw within 3-4 days or you will be stuck."

"I was bullied and when I repeatedly begged for help I was told there was nothing they could do. There are laws against this stuff and yet they claim they could do nothing. Not to mention they still owe me money. The majority of the students act like children and are allowed to run a muck in the classrooms and the teachers/faculty do NOTHING. THIS is the WORSE school I've ever attend. I would NEVER encourage anyone to attend one day of one class at this school and its horrid environment. They make the MOB look like preschool at snack time!!!!!!!!!!"
