Colleagues
Thank you very much for this dialogue.....nursing is probably one of the most challenging major with so much that must be learned in a very short period of time. You are absolutely accurate in your assessment that success requires significant time studying and ownership of your own learning. Faculty should be there to coach and mentor you along the learning journey. If there are specific challenges please share them with your faculty, Dean, and as needed Campus President. The eventual reward of becoming a nurse will make the journey well worth the effort required.

As the Vice President of Education, I'd like to thank you for sharing your perspective on what constitutes a legitimate school. It would be helpful to have more information regarding whether or not you actually attended this school and if so, what campus and program you were in so we can explore what seems to you as unqualified faculty and the coursework you reference?
As an accredited institution we have standards regarding faculty credentials. In addition, unlike other state accredited schools that you reference, we have accountability to various agencies on our students retention, employment and licensure. As a result, you'll find our programs are designed with the relevancy to prepare our graduates for success in the career field.
Also, the decision regarding transferability of credits is always at the discretion of the receiving school (or where you may transfer to) so there may be variability in the acceptance of credit.
Once again, I'd invite you to contact me at egoodman@edaff.com so I can learn more about the context of your perceptions and understand your vague generalizations. I look forward to visiting with you soon and thanks in advance for helping us improve.

Making a decision to apply to a nursing program is indeed a critical one. The major is very challenging and unfortunately not everyone will be successful. I encourage you to visit the school with a set of unbias eyes. The visit could include an opportunity for you to potentially meet with current students so you receive a balance review.
Best of luck on your journey towards being a nurse.
