Please DO NOT waste your time or money dealing with this school the HVAC program is a complete rip off. 18 month course but I learned everything on the job in two weeks and I left school not knowing jack about HVAC and I never missed a day of class
Overall I loved my classes and the actual teachers. Once you're approaching graduation the school's career services dept. is suppose to help you find a job, but if you do not have a car or speak Spanish you're on your own. Good luck and learn Spanish
First I paid out of pocket on top of financial aid, they required me to settle all of my payments before I could attend my externship. I completed this externship and found work without their assistance. I never heard anything about graduation, I never planned to attend either way. Months down the line I was wondering why my degree had not come. I tried to contact them to see why, I kept getting the run aroud. I even went up there and was told I needed to pass my certification test. I past the test and started working as a medical assistant, my job stated they couldn't get in conact with Fortis but would accept my unofficial transcripts and certification #. Luckily I was able to work, but come to find out there is an extra fee added for exiting, I have been trying now for a year to contact billing to pay them. They sent this payment to collections and I still can not get anyone to the phone, CROOKS, complete crooks.
My son is was a student at fortis in Baltimore Maryland and they are not helpful when it came to his internship not all the students got pick up for hours they need to graduate so now we are sitting here waiting for them to call him if not he have to wait until July no one calls and say anything the teacher quite in the middle of school not sure what that was all about. My son thank she quit
I think the massage program is great!!!. Very helpful with all the information given in class. The program will make you a great massage therapist, since I've been out of school I have many clients tell me that they never had a massage like this before. The instructors are very helpful. The out reaches our great opportunity to mold you in to a great massage therapist. The career adviser is great in helping you find a job after graduation . She was there every step of the way and very helpful any time i needed her. (The program is top notch)words from a client.
Turn away now! This school is ridiculous in its policies. Which are ever changing. You are scrutinized for trying to do the right thing and crucified. Double standards are in play with staff. I would never reccommend this to ANYONE.The instructors are ill prepared, and talk out both sides of their mouth. I truly believe the people there try to make you fail instead of succeed. Whike they preach holding themselves to a high standard... its all talk. Integrity they have none.
This program is very poorly run. The professors do not have a clue about NCLEX and often times offer input that is completely false. Very difficult to work with. It's a waste of time and money. Passing rate on NCLEX is 45 percent. It honestly seems like most of the nurses that work here couldn't make it as a real nurse.
The only reason why I am giving the instruction 5 stars is because the new instructors are amazing and they care but their hands are tied. Over half the nursing program is failing. We all spend long days and nights studying and reaching out for help. Everything is so last minute because they are so unorganized that it is just a headache. My expectations of nursing school was it would be challenging and hard. This program now is just impossible. I would never refer anyone here. When you spend 60 hours a week outside of class working on homework and studying and you are still failing that's a problem. You can answer questions all day long in class and none of it relates. some of the staff cares and the other just seem content on watching the majority of the students fail. you can start with a class of 30 and end with 2-4 students. For a change we would like to see our efforts pay off in our grades. When top students are failing there is a problem. this school is horrible save your money and go elsewhere. If you have family or a job kiss them goodbye the the length of the program. Nothing matters but the work they give and failing tests so you can repeat the class and eventually fail out of the program. Save yourself the time and money and just don't bother. The only reason I can't say this was the worst decision of my life is the few friends I will walk away with. I have never felt so lost or defeated in my life and had a school make you feel so dumb and stupid.
The Medical Assistant program was not what I was looking for so I was a little disappointed but I continued through it. I felt I did learn things in my field of work and was given ideas on had to proceed with my career. The teachers and affiliates of the school were very good at answer questions, finding an answer or directing you to someone who can answer the question. I would have like more lab experience to learn better. There could be a better explanation on how the holidays and days missed work but overall the education was great.
I do not ever recommend this school especially for anyone who is interested . I have went through 7 teachers within 4 months before extern . The school does not go by the syllabus . They lie and say credits transfer to other colleges and that you get a associates degree when you graduate . They claim that you will be placed at a hospital for externship but only have 3 sites to help hundreds of students . The school resources are horrible , no library few computers , oh and they over charge students for immunizations ( 772.00) and the books are cheaper than the immunizations. Teachers think that they have to argue to prove a point . This school is just no good . They will eventually be shut down within time .
