"DO NOT GO TO THIS MONEY PIT OF A ”SCHOOL”!! the teachers and staff HARDLY know their jobs or how to use the equipment as well some have a terrible chip on their shoulder, god forbid you as a question….the school was recently relocated off UTSA Blvd to a ”newer” building which the A/C and Electricity have gone out leading to an early dismissal of classes….the Students cheat using Chat GPT and Quizzlet and pass to their advantage but the students who actually read the book, take notes, and hone try fail by a question or not even a Full point…Galen has NO MERCY, will NOT round or offer extra credit or any options to elevate yourself to passing….Because they will kick out out and have you reapply to include the 1,200 down for whatever fees…..I am incredibly dishearten and so taken back as far as my opinion of Galen is concern…..at the end of the day its about the money so SAVE yours and go to a different school….FYI they make you become an LVN 12 months w/No choice…..Plus another 8+ months for the ADN(still an LVN) and then another 18+ months or so for your RN BSN……Thats quite some time and probably close to 100k if not more…..I found a School that i can get my ADN and RN in 18 months total…..Do the research and don’t let a fancy facility blind you!"

"I would not recommend Galen College of Nursing to anyone, regardless of their situation or circumstances. As a former employee of HCA and a student in the LVN program, I am completely disappointed in the overall experience. I faced numerous issues with the school, its staff, and students.I paid $30,000 (not including the required books and materials) for the LVN program, only to fail my NCLEX three times. The school failed to adequately prepare me for the exam, and it seemed that there was more focus on appearance than on actual education. The lack of flexibility in the program was also a significant issue. For example, the school's policies on attendance and dress code were extremely rigid and unreasonable. Despite providing a doctor's note for an emergency room visit and even a funeral card, attendance will still be penalized, and no exceptions were made. The expectation was that you would never miss a day, no matter the circumstances.Additionally, the behavior of the teachers and administrators was unprofessional and rude. The teachers were unhelpful and offered no tutoring or assistance either before or after class. There was no support available for students who needed extra help.It became clear that the school was more concerned with collecting tuition payments than providing quality education. They claim to have integrity and that cheating won't be tolerated but when students were caught cheating on exams, they did nothing about it no one was expelled. The clinical rotations were another major issue. Students had no say in where they were placed no matter the distance , and when we arrived alot of the nurses don't want to deal with students at all.In some cases, we were left standing for 12-hour shifts because no chairs were provided. I had to purchase my own chair just to be able to sit during rotations.Despite raising these concerns multiple times throughout my program, no one took me seriously. In fact, the admin told me flat-out , "You can go find another school to attend."That's the level of care and concern you'll get at Galen."

"Galen College of Nursing Austin Campus is horrible! This college is more concerned about money than actually teaching students and assisting them in earning the proper credentials to further their careers in nursing. First, they are way overpriced! Second, the instructors are unprofessional and disinterested in student success. Most of the time they can't even answer questions! They make you feel uncomfortable when you ask for assistance. Third, the exam and grading policies are unfair. Students aren't allowed to review their exams and "glitches" in their system have caused student grades to be changed several times. After an exam I was told that I couldn't review my exam because it could lead to cheating. Really? The tests are given via scan tron! I witnessed a decrease in my grade and other students grades mysteriously increased. This makes me feel all of this college's practices are sketchy and biased. Last, you can never get any real help from administration. No one answers the phone, you have to literally chase them down to get assistance. I second guess my decision to enroll in this school. I beg others to look deep before enrolling in this college. I think their accrediting agency needs to do an audit."

"This college is setup for you to fail. Communication is horrible. They give you nothing to study, you learn on your own. The main office no one ever answers and if you fail a class for something out of your control they push you out, so all that they want you to succeed is trash. Horrible school, turn the other way and choose another college."
