"Georgetown is a very nurturing environment and we are pushed to work very hard. The program utilizes a virtual learning experience that is extremely effective. The program, however, is one of the most expensive programs and no financial aid is offered."

"My program is online but instead of just assigning various assignments we have sessions that are interactive so that it still feels like a class session. One of the best experiences that I have had with online classes and has truly exceeded my expectations."

"Georgetown University has down a phenomenal job of utilizing the on-line resources available to create a virtual campus. The format is accessible and intuitive. Tuition is high, but the degree is worth it. Overall, I would highly recommend this program and university!"

"This is a hybrid online program. I am a military spouse and we move often. I am able to attend an online program with the benefits of attending class. I have specific class times that I must log in and attend via webcam. I feel this is a great new way for long distance learning. I am very happy that I will be able to attend a prestigious university as I move throughout the country. I have received support throughout my entire application process. Once accepted, I received an advisor who has helped me register and fix small technological issues quickly."

"I am completing an online family nurse practitioner program. The program is full of diverse students from all over the country. The courses are very interactive, incorporating webcams and phones to allow students and professors to communicate during class times. The program is genuinely a frontrunner in online schooling."

"I will be starting the online FNP program at the end of June. I have found the amount of support that Georgetown University provides it students amazing. The online classes are interactive and provide a true classroom atmosphere.Being able to participate in online classes allows me to work with my current schedule, continue living in my current home and not uproot my family. As much support at Georgetown University provides, the cost of tuition is very expensive. Due to the cost of tuition, it requires me to continue working full-time in order to afford living expenses and tuition and fees."

"I am attending Georgetown University's Online Nursing program. My MSN will be in Midwifery/Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. I just completed my first semester in the program and am very satisfied with the design and content of the program. Georgetown's online nursing program is very innovative and unlike any other online course I have taken. We are given asynchronous lectures to watch and reading assignments to complete prior to a weekly two hour synchronous class. The synchronous class is webinar style with audio and video from all participants. This combination of asynch/synch lectures is a great way to learn the information and then clarify concepts with the instructor in class. The only con to the program for me would have to be the cost of attendance, but I feel like I am receiving an exceptional education and will have a rewarding career when I complete the program."

"The pros of receiving an online nursing education from Georgetown University are that it is more convenient to not have to travel to classes to receive an education from a well-renowned university. Faculty are well-prepared, knowledgeable, and leaders in their field. Cons are that it is difficult to make social connections and you don't feel like you are true part of the university since you are not there in person."

"Georgetown Nurse Anesthesia Program is very competitive. The program is taken very seriously and promotes a high standard of learning. The program has a very high attrition rate, 100% certification passing rate, and 100% job placement. The DC area has a high cost of living and the program is fairly expensive; however, you are paying for a highly reputable school and program. GU NAP is one of the only programs that offers a cadaver lab for anatomy and anesthesia lab. The nursing school is integrated with the medical school as needed to promote a high level of education."
