"The staff here are for the most part extremely dedicated and geniunely care about their students. I will say this is a very competitive college and for some courses you really have to work hard to maintain a decent GPA. I live off campus so I can't say much about the living situation, but I can say that the grounds are very old and the buildings themselves could use some modernizing, particularly their restrooms. There isn't much of a social life. I'm attending this school for the sole purpose of getting a degree, not for the college experience. Basically, this is a great school if you just need to get a degree, not so much if you're looking for a fun experience or vibrant night life"

"Georgian Court University has both good and bad aspects, especially when pertaining to their School of Nursing (SON). The professors who instruct nursing courses are a combination of practicing and non practicing nurses, which improves the learning experience. Despite this, the SON offers almost no notice for mandatory tests or classes, which are different from original scheduled class times. If you have a job, kids, or any other commitment separate from your studies, be prepared to make sacrifices due to their lack of communication and inconsideration."

"This school needs a lot of improvement. First off, Something MUST be done about the traffic around the grounds. The town of Lakewood is extremely crowded and over run by pedestrians. Pedestrians put themselves in the way of your car constantly! And it takes an hour just to make a left on to rt 9 because there no left turn signal. Food provided consists of only over priced burgers. There are weeds everywhere. The grounds could use refurbishment. There is no social life. No clean place to hang out or make a phone call uninterrupted. When scheduling, classes are almost always full, even if you have seniority. The actual buildings could use updating. And classrooms could use refurbishment. Most annoying of all they require 2 service learning internships as a graduation requirement Which I find entirely Unnecessary and completely out of the way. Positive note: most of the professors are kind, helpful and resourceful and approachable."

"Georgian Court was not my cup of tea. The atmosphere resembles that of a religious drag queen. Administration were very uptight. While I did like some of my professors there were absolutely no standards and anyone could pass their dum- down curricula. It is a classic suitcase commuter school."

"Georgian Court is an amazing campus esthetically. In addition, it's just small enough to have classroom sizes that accommodate quaint learning experiences. Also, campus safety is relatively good as there is only one entrance that has a guard station. Most students are commuters, however I am not sure of the statistics. All staff is more than willing to help and passionate about working at campus"

"Georgian Court University is a small campus, located in central Nj. What I like is that you are taught by professors with experience, and a majority of the staff has a Ph.D in their speciality. There are no T.A. in their undergrad or graduate classes, and the professors take a genuine interest in their students. I couldn't ask for a better program, the school prepared me for me a position in the science when I graduated with my undergrad and it is helping me achieve my goals with a graduate program in education. Nearly 15 years since I started their and the professors still remember who I am. Georgian Court University is not just a school, it is a family."

"The town that it is located in is awful. It is impossible to drive around there. The education department was frustrating."

"I feel like the surrounding area GCU is a very unique one. It can be a little difficult at times to navigate the area because of traffic. I also feel as though the school is relatively expensive in comparison to other schools in the area, although it is a private school. On the other hand, all of the faculty who run the School Psychology program are phenomenal. I have learned so much about the content area and myself in the couple of years I have been here. They push me to work hard and help me succeed. The classes are content rich and we are learning up-to-date information that we will take with us throughout our careers."

"At Georgian Court, I found that the professors were always and willing to help. I enjoyed my time there as an undergrad that I also did my graduate work there as well. I liked how close it was to my home, and I was able to save money by commuting. The other thing I enjoyed about Georgian Court was the campus. It is not spread out all over the place and the classes are easy to go back and forth with. The one draw back about Georgian Court was the expense. I found it to be a little pricey, but it was worth the convenience of it being so close to my home."

"I enjoy my graduate program because not many schools offer it. Also, the professors were very knowledgable and helpful."
