"Goddard is a better option for those who are already doing work in their chosen field and are seeking advancement. A degree from here does not necessarily make you an attractive candidate for the job you would like, which makes it hard to justify the cost."

"Goddard allowed me to direct my own learning and study the things that were important to me. My advisor and faculty supported me throughout and encouraged me to delve deeper, adopt a critical perspective, and never stop questioning. This helped me become an independent thinker and empowered me to develop my own voice which has served me well in graduate school, career and beyond. I highly recommend Goddard for motivated and ambitious students who want to take charge of their own education. No matter your age, background, or previous experience with higher education or formal schooling, the faculty and staff at Goddard will be there for you every step of the way so long as you are willing to commit to putting in the time and energy to do the work."

"Goddard College is an excellent institution for those who seek a work life balance, while still pursuing an education. The low residency option allows students to continue to work, parent, and remain part of their community with the exception of two weeks a year for residencies on campus. It is safe and engaging for folks from all walks of life and I couldn't recommend it more highly."

"The pros are that Goddard offers an accredited MFA degree in writing, allowing literary artist to perfect their craft in screenwriting, play writing, poetry and novel writing. Goddard allows students to explore their interests. It offers and environment for independent thinkers as well as entrepreneurial mindsets. The instructors are professional writers and they respect the craft and the students. The only con that I could see is that Goddard students spend only one week on campus. This may cause some sadness since students bond quickly. Waiting six months to see each other again is hard."

"Goddard College is fantastic for student who have the drive to learn on their own. The guidance from advisers is invaluable and unique to this "distance learning". They're help is irreplaceable, especially when you are responsible for taking the reigns on your own education. Everyone at the college is encouraging and welcoming, student, staff, and faculty. This is great for students who are interested in holistic care, natural remedies, and are hands-on with their learning. While here, students build their narrative transcripts with self-designed study plans built around what the student wants to learn."

"Goddard College is different from any other college I looked at. The graduate program in Psychology or Mental Health Counseling allows the students to design courses based on their personal interests and state licensing requirements. All of the campus faculty, mentors, and students that I have encountered during my time with Goddard have been very open, helpful, and accepting of others."

"The advisors provide an awesome mentorship experience. Communication and administration aren't always the best. The cohorts are filled with amazingly talented and interesting people."

"Goddard is not for everyone, but for folks who are looking for an awesome way to get a degree without giving up your life for 4 years, Goddard is the way to go. Great for non-traditional students as you get to create your own curriculum. You will be pushed to the limits in the best of ways by your advisers, don't expect to be un-challenged in this environment, you will be."
