"I completed the Communication and Leadership Studies graduate program at Gonzaga University in 2011. The majority of the program was online with the exception of a mandatory 3-day intensive seminar course that had to be completed at some time during the program. I absolutely LOVED this program, the school, the faculty, and my classmates. Even though the courses were completed online, the faculty and staff went above and beyond to create a welcoming and personal learning environment. The quality of the material and instruction was excellent, and I felt thoroughly prepared to enter my career as an adjunct professor of Communication. I highly recommend Gonzaga University and this graduate program!"

"Option of online or campus classes. Set in beautiful Spokane Wa. Four seasons to enjoy. Stunning campus near downtown and the Spokane river. Many classes/majors to choose from. Qualified and caring professors. And of course, an amazing basketball team."

"My experience with Gonzaga University was positive from start to finish. I chose this program because of the ability to study abroad. The Communication and Leadership Studies program offers a 3 week study abroad experience in Italy (Florence, Cagli and Rome) that is amazing. I would recommend anyone looking at this program to try to be apart of the study abroad experience. The remainder of my classes were online. There was a great deal of reading, as one should expect, and a lot of papers to right. The professors where helpful and knowledgeable. Grading was fair. This program definitely made me better in my field of Corporate Communication and I have been able to more than double (almost triple) my income in the five years since I graduated."

"A great program with knowledgeable faculty. Don't take classes from visiting professors though--they're generally not fully on board with how the program is run."

"The educational value for most of the classes is amazing. I have learned a lot. Many of the instructors are difficult to get ahold of, however, and often don't respond well to questions for clarification. That aside, i would recommend this program for the value of the information you learn and the interactions with others in the program."

"Overall, the COML program at Gonzaga University is great. They offer students the ability to study abroad and to bring that experience back into the classroom. All online students are required to come to Spokane for three days for class. That opportunity to connect with fellow online students is one of the reasons why I chose Gonzaga. The faulty are there to support you and whatever your final endeavor may be. I have loved my first semester at Gonzaga and look forward to the upcoming semesters."

"Pros: This program has shown me the value in reaching deep within to learn more introspectively on what it is that drives us and what it is we want to do. Often times people ask, why are we here. I think I can help people to ask a better question now, what are they doing while they are here. I feel the goals and principles that help us have direction can support the results we are striving to achieve in any situation. Thinking about that end in mind. Helping organizations, groups or even our families connect and find their passion in life. The Communications and Leadership studies has been very beneficial to my own personal and professional growth. I feel that there are differences in this program from what I have read in others. Certainly when you review the Cons you may feel that I do not find value, however, the value is great and has been high in VOI and ROI. Cons: The cost has been high for an online program, the name recognition of GU could be stronger for that investment. I am proud of what I have done, and think the school can brand itself even more. The thesis work that is set to occur could be minimized or removed all together. This contribution may or may not be a benefit. As an individual it is more of a barrier to seeing the end in the program. Other schools may not require as much."

"Pros: The instructors have been great at presenting a wealth of material in interesting ways that really engage classroom participation and spark interest in new fields of study, the instructors respond in a very reasonable time frame and notify students of when they will be unable to respond quickly, the instructors truly hold students accountable for their work so you are not just breezing through classes and will hear both the good and bad qualities of the work you turn in. Cons: The school is very expensive and do does not offer any scholarships for graduate students. The financial aid office is not very helpful in helping students figure out how to pay for schooling."

"As an online graduate degree program it is rigorous and challenging. The professors are accessible and care about students; they help guide and support us during each course as well. I feel challenged with the program. I definitely feel it's worth my time and investment."
