"In the family nurse practitioner program the advisers are not helpful when you ask questions. The program is below par when compared to St. Luke’s and other area nursing schools. You are required to buy expensive textbooks but are not allowed to use them to cite material for the class. The main source of information by most of the professors is up-to-date. I would highly recommend looking at another school before Graceland University."

"What happened to GU? I hear all these wonderful things, but wow.... The new Dean and Graduate Dean apparently have no clue whats going on, they don’t have answers and neither of them are nurse practitioners. How can they run this program? If it were not for the faculty trying to make the program work, these two would certainly run it in to the ground. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!!"

"I will graduate with my FNP degree in 2021. I am three semesters in and I love the program. The professors have always been very easy to communicate with and helpful. I have met the dean of the school at my oncampus learning session and she was awesome- like a smart grandmother type who really wanted me to do well in the program. I also met my program coordinator and professors at this time. They are all real, down to earth, good people who work part-time as professors and part-time as current practicing NP's. I am really enjoying the experience. I won't take boards till 2021 but am confident I will do well with the rigorous program."

"Im currently well over a year into the acute care/geriatrics NP program. There is very minimal instructor involvement and classes are just a repeated template. My last class the instructor never once participated in class except to grade assignments! The critical care/geriatric portion is very minor, instead it is mainly primary care. Majority of students feel poorly prepared by the critical care instructor/program to enter the work force. Ive done other online programs and the lack of regard for students education at Graceland is shocking."

"Excellent education with caring, professional Instructors. Rigorous program, but you expect that with an MSN/FNP program. "Focus," on campus assessments were challenging, as instructors expected top quality assessment abilities, but they were more than willing to help where needed. Students need to be self-starters and well motivated to keep up with the demands of on-line learning. Able to pass my FNP Boards on the first try. Graceland University gave me the basics needed to complete a career goal."

"I went through the Graceland University campus based nursing program for my undergraduate degree , several years ago and had a great experience then. I'm now pursuing my DNP with an emphasis in Organizational Leadership/Process Improvement, but this time it is all online. I was anxious about the online experience but have found it to be extremely beneficial. Normally, in person classroom discussions, can be more relaxed... less requirements for participation. The online discussion boards commits you to thinking through the discussion assignment. I've met some great peers from all over the country with unique experiences and goals. I highly recommend Graceland University's online DNP program!!"

"The professors and community were great, but poor administrative work made it extremely difficult to graduate on time. The people in charge of this school have a vision for the school that completely differ from that of its students and faculty. This school has a major identity problem right now, and so I cannot recommend attending this university."

"Graceland is a respected school that makes learning easy by providing accessible online classes with great support online and over the phone. The only think that I would change is more scholarship opportunities for graduate students."

"The program allows for career advancement without having to put your career or family on hold. The on campus visits provide a great hands on experience to compliment the online course work. Although new to the program, I am sure I have made the right choice for my RN-MSN program."

"My time at Graceland University has been exceptional. The professors are attentive and accessible, as well as genuinely concerned with the students' success and wellbeing. The staff is very helpful and accommodating to each student's situation and needs. The Independence campus is a small, nice facility with amenities such as a kitchen and fireplace. The campus, the students and the faculty can be compared to a small family."

"I am in an online program that is allowing me the flexibility that I need as a single mother and a full-time employee. Graceland also has a great program that is allowing me to go from my associates to my masters degree, I am extremely excited."
